| Quote: PCollinson1990 "I can only assume JTP has never been to Wembley. Some people seem to forget the running costs of a venue like Wembley, as you say, tickets for a concert would be way more. I don't recall many people complaining about the cost of tickets for ELO, Primal Scream etc.
It's quite simple, if you think it's too expensive, don't pay it, 1000's will, and those that don't (as opposed to cant't) probably won't be missed anyway. A pint is rocking towards £4, so someone going out an average of 3 times a week only needs to cut down by 1 pint a night, over a month that's the difference between a normal game and a big event ticket.'"
We have a winner.
Never fails to amaze me just how many who complain about price will do so whilst watching the game in a pub where they will have been from 7pm onwards.
As fans we have been fortunate of late, this being our 3 CC final out of 5. Lets not forget there was a 20 year gap between finals until we got there on 2005. Its not a guaranteed fixture. Enjoy then while we can.

Like for like it's very very good value and cheap tickets still with good views are an absolute steal even when compared to a home game at the KCom.'"
I've paid much more for other events in the past but generally that's down to high demand meaning that the price reflects the supply of tickets and the demand for them. The final won't sell out so there is insufficient demand at the prices being charged. £37.50 is a fair chunk to pay for a kid's ticket IMO and in some sections they are £85 with no concessions. It's only about £60 for a kid to watch a full season of games at the KC. I personally don;t like sitting behind the sticks and having been in the upper tier at wembley a couple of times wouldn't go up there again as you're too far away from the action

Last time I was behind the posts was in 1980, I've been to Wembley/other CC finals around 20 times (I've only missed a couple at the new Wembley seeing as it's just down the road), I generally pick tier 3 tickets because although you can see everything even better nearer the halfway line you're still not close to a try line. We've done the lower section of the upper tier around the 20m for the most part, these are tier 3 tickets IIRC, last year we decided to sit closer to the FC end and in the lower tier, full price tickets were a steal IMHO.
Sure people can pick and choose depending on their budget but moaning like you're doing saying tickets are expensive is off the mark and simply wrong, it really doesn't have any merit.
These are one-off events at the biggest stadia for the biggest event in the calendar (the GF can suck one)
Next you'll be saying it costs £60 for kids to go to the hoe-downs/band at your local club all year and then compare that to going to take them to an Ariane Grande concert and complaining it's £xx.
keep on devaluing the game and the results are catastrophic which was evidenced not only by huddersfield giving away their season tickets but also by the RFL with respect to the Stobart debacle. Then the lead sponsorship had a value of absolutely bugger all and no-one wanted to pay up.
Even FC have had similar, giving away 2 tickets for £5 for the first home game, on the back of the wembley win this was a mistake by AP, fans would have come anyway to the first home game of the season as reigning CC holders and a fantastic season bar the last few games. It's had very little impact on attendances but what it does do is make the casual supporter think do you know what, i'm not paying full price, I'm going to wait for a discount, and sure enough a discount is given and we are back to undervaluing the sport and is why we'll always be small potatoes and blue-chip sponsors aren't interested.

Completely agree.
What's that saying?
"Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing."
Wembley wouldn't sell out if you have it away for free most likely. The reason rugby league grounds aren't full has nothing to do with price and everything to do with value. If you keep making the price lower, you aren't making people value it any differently so overall you just get less money.
The game needs more money and me exposure and you won't get that by giving things away.

| We're in the North Stand upper tier block 552 right on the halfway line in almost identical seats to last year which was a fantastic view. Last year they were £50, this year they're £30.
I'm not quite sure which seats have gone up in price or are considered too expensive by people moaning on here but, at £20 cheaper this year, I'm obviously delighted with ours.

| The RFL are now only selling tickets for one block in the Hull 'end'.
Not sure if they've released any in the upper tier in the South Stand?

None at all yet - they appear to be opening up sections one by one and filling them up that way.
Wigan's end doesn't appear to be selling very fast, it's hardly changed for a week now.
