Oh for education eh!, this time yesterday you would not have been able to make this post without making a pratt of yourself

| It shows how far we've dropped off when fans are talking about avoiding relegation instead of pushing closer to top 4 previous to 2014..pretty sad

It was an opportunity to use "2/3" again, which chissitt reacted to in his usual abusive way.

The vast majority of the starting 17 have just about 2 games..that isn't 4 games or 4 times..IMO our prep has being poop..same as last season'"
What was it Jake said about Wakefield fans??

| I was a little unhappy yesterday but after reading Radfords report today about trying to give some of the younger lads a chance to impress but sadly not taking it I understand the team selection more now. It gives both the club and the players a chance to see where theyre at and some of the younger ones who might be thinking theyre ready will now know they need to get their heads down and work a lot harder if theyre gonna be pushing for a first team place should injury arise. It would of been nice for the club to be a bit more open with the fans about this though rather than a load going across to wakey only to met with an almost B team. Only one I don't get is why did he play Sneyd when the risk of injury is there

All I can think of is, with Pryce missing (injured?), he wanted one key pivot in the team so that the fringe players could get an opportunity
to get used to his style of play and kicking game.
Or maybe Sneyd himself felt he wanted more game time?
All a load of rubbish, I know.

| I think most people agree, yesterdays friendly was a waste of time for everyone! Yes give fringe players a chance to make an impression, but not with 15 other so called fringe players, It's ridiculous, and as just demoralised most Hull fans, just when we where starting to feel a little optimistic! I just don't get it, I guess we'll find out on the 8th what Radford and this team are all about. I was looking forward to it, not to sure now

With all due respect. Why do you feel demoralised by a friendly?
Most first teamers have had around a game and a half .
Radford knows his team. Yesterday was a chance to try some fringe players who needed to impress.
I'm glad no risks were taken . Hull FC fans need to get a grip, we really are becoming a moaning , fickle bunch ! Why knee jerk over a glorified training session?

| I struggle to see any benefit to playing as many fringe players as you did, surely the final friendly is the time to pick your strongest team and play at match tempo for long periods so you are fully prepared come round 1. 40/50 mins against us is not ideal prep for a league season, lets face it York was a training session.
I can see the no injuries point, but I'd hazard an injury is as likely to happen in training when not at full intensity and knocks occur.
I'm obviously no expert, but for me it was an opportunity for you guys to build some momentum into hudds game, and play with some intensity and combinations in a game situation close to big kick off.
Might not always work, look at us yesterday full team near enough and a dreadful performance, thing is we probably still took a lot from the game to work on (especially in defence) so in a warped way not a wasted journey. I just don't see what Radford knows different about his first 17 after that, with only a small sample size to go with for the first day.

It's a lottery, as you have clearly indicated.
People seem to think that coaching a RL team is an exact science, but it's not.

| Can anyone who went tell me how the front row of Bowden Green and Cunningham went please? In terms of first team squad it's the performance of these three that interests me the most. Cheers.

Made me think Radford is more of a clown than ever. You want to find out if youngsters are good enough you have to play them with some of the best players, not just lump them all together and say ah well they are not good enough. It's complete none sense from the off. The donny and York games should have been mixed sides IMO

Not that well. The starting six pack if fit pick themselves. Bench is more challenging. Of the rest Thompson has played himself in, definitely for me. Whiting looked OK, but probably will get a few games at Donny first. Neither Bowden nor Green are creating enough impact IMO, Feka does but defence not brilliant, thought he'd get more minutes yesterday tbh. Personally I'd play Houghton for 80 and have Thompson, Feka, Bowden and Rankin on the bench. Not sure where Hadley is in the pecking order. BTW impressed me at the Keepmoat. Hmm..

I sort of agree and wanted to see the full side play yesterday but the seasons a marathon and not a sprint and we don't want to peak too early if we can even peak at all lol.

Trouble is, is .....
Curtis Naughton, Tom Lineham, Joe Arundel, Jack Logan, Callum Lancaster, Jordan Abdull, Marc Sneyd, Josh Bowden, James Cunningham, Chris Green, Gareth Ellis, Dean Hadley, Jordan Thompson
such a bad side?
And 3 first teamers as subs if you include Whiting.
