| The game changer was Whitings knock on from the kick off at 18-20.
Thought the ref proved why he isn't a SL ref, he wasn't to blame for the loss but he was awful.
I was pretty pleased with the way we played, looked good in attack in parts especially Seymour and McKinnon. The new tackling structure will work well with a more experienced ref, keeping them on there feet for a lot longer than previous seasons then putting them on the ground and working hard to get them on the back. O'Carroll went well aswell for me in attack and defence.
People need to remember that it was our 1st game back, everything isnt going to work straight away.

So you liked seeing a player flat out do you.......he was injured but never mind eh...at least your missus will be in for a good 30 seconds tonight.'"
Don't be so precious. What's with.......all.....the.....dots?
It was only a bit of wind, he'll be fine, unlike Beaumont who was jeered with "Oh get up you f*nny", nice.
Incidentally, I remember last season's RH testimonial which FC won. Counted then, didn't it?
I'm not going to come back here, It's too negative. If you want to respond do it in PM or I'll miss it.

Result means nothing really although the celebrations of the rovers players almost confused me into thinking it was some sort of cup final or perhaps the superbowl has come early? Forward passes really need sorting out this year.'"
Its called team spirit...isnt it annoying.

| Thought McKinnon, Martin and O'Carroll looked good out of our new signings. I didn't really notice Lynch, and Aspinwall looked average for the short time he was on. Heremaia didn't look as good as Houghton when he was on, and Seymour looked no better than Horne. I was particularly disappointing with his kicking game. Obviously not going to judge them on one game though. O'Meley and Moa looked the best out of our players from last season IMO.

TBF Marfa, it wasn't their comment, they were retweeting what someone else had posted. Guess they were too busy with Craig Sandercock. Thought at one point they were going to ask him what he was having for his tea the interview went on that long.

Spot on. I know it's a derby so fans get a bit more carried away but as a first hit out I was quite pleased with some of the things we did. I think everyone has said it will take a bit of time for changes to take hold but we lose a meaningless pre-season friendly to the banjo players and it's suddenly all doom and gloom.

| Disappointed as with any defeat but not downhearted. This was the first game for the first teamers in four months. Timing is bound to be out. Obviously we need a big improvement next week with Warrington just seven days later.
Pleased with McKinnon, looked steady under the high ball and he is also vocal. Sharp looked good but on the flip side I have to agree with the comments about Rich Horne. Improvement needed there.

| Hornes had his day and hasn't been consistantly good for years. He's a weak link in the team for me.

| O'Carroll was our best prop today did some really good things in attack and defence. Martin has to be our starting centre, Turner isn't good enough and never will be in that position, the only position he might make it in will be in the backrow.
The halves will get better with game time I've no doubt. The only thing that really disappointed me was that our support play still looked lacking and for me this is an area that we have needed to improve on for years.

| I know it was our first game and only a friendly but think we need at least a very good stand of and top notch prop with size to have a chance of winning out . Has much has I think our props are ok there are all to small and of similar size . Give Horne benefit of doubt but looks like we"ll only get a good game every 4 , hope I'm wrong though . With a bit of look stil fancy us for 4/5 as it will take time to gel .

Completely agree about Martin - got to start, surely. And also that the support play was missing coupled with quite poor kicking to say we supposedly have the hookers and all four halves working hard on this.

I agree with the prop point we do lack size there and someone who will rough them up .

Maybe we're still not playing nicely with Radio Humberside. Amusingly RH's solitary post-match retweet had a hashtag #uptherobins #hkr. Nice olive branch
I'm not bertie or Andy, but I have been looking in at what's going on Mrs B,

| I wouldn't be too disappointed if I was a Hull fan, 8 new players and new plays to learn, Rome wasn't built in a day was it.

think prop size ok! not exactly small,o carrol prob smallest and most saying he was best for us! when season stars and its 10 interchange it'll suit us not being to big, especially on the hotter days!
