I don't know if we have been "over the cap" per se. But we have clearly gotten ourselves in a situation where we have players on our books who we can't afford to play because doing so would take us over the cap. At least the recent leavers should take a bit of pressure off.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Well that's certainly a part of it yes. But what's the point having a big squad if a load of them can't play anyway?

It's a balancing act, AP said our cap was based on around 30 players, so that leaves the top 25 earners plus any 5 or so from the rest, who would also be part of the reserves.
Saints have a much lower figure than 30, so would also be struggling if they had the same injury list as us.
If the players outside the "cap base" are being paid peanuts, then it won't impact on the cap if they have to play, I suspect that's why we're struggling with the numbers game.
I'd imagine Ellis and Savelio will have pushed a couple of players out of the top 25 to 30 earners bracket, making the sums even harder

My opinion is he thought what do i have to do to get a chance when he sees the clubs injury list.he pulled out of the Doncaster squad on Sunday so probably thats the breach of discipline

Why was this obvious? You'll have to explain that one

| The reserves didn’t turn out how he or Hull presumably hoped or imagined this year. He was looking for a stepping stone but instead at 28 it probably came to feel like he was wasting one of his prime years.

| Also explains why the Fijian lad has been allowed to play. As a Union convert his salary is exempt from the Cap but he has been using Talanoas quota spot reading Radfords comments. So Hull couldn't have registered or fielded Talanoa even if they wanted to.

Where does LR say that?
I'd read somewhere that Ratu had been in the uk since he was 18, so would qualify by residency anyway.
