Beat me to it. He's laughed it off and Radford's denied it. Unfortunately.

Yep,I'd take him in a heartbeat, but has been denied by all parties.. it could be a possible smokescreen..just wondered why some seem to think it's still on the cards..strange one this!

| posted this on the quarter final thread but seems to have beenburied amongst the throat and wrist slitting on the main board. (small edit as wanted to add more)
Our backline is embarrassing, even the sheffield eagles backs had more pace than our a&e brigade in the cup game!
If yeaman is our first choice centre next year it shows radford clearly has his favourite. Back up a best next year.
Michaels may have good games in defence but is another who offers little going forward
Sa is done imo. Biscuit bones. Need to cut our losses
Talanoa. Better in centre, wasted on the wing , put lancaster outside him! now!
Naughton, has pace but a bit lightweight, still lots of potential
Lineham, our only strike player and he has been sold off and now has ben crooks (not going to get into an arguement on his positioning and defence, especially when the likes of yeaman shoots out the defensive line! the lad had genuine pace!
Who we bring in will be crucial, we need two brick poop houses in the centres
Should be looking to bring Lancaster through for the rest of the season and next season
get in the 8 and sacrifice the top 8 games, better than being bottom 4

| The skill set at the club has been a bug bearer of mine for ages and shows no sign of improving . We make the same errors over and over again in dry or wet conditions , Our style of rugby over the last 5 or so season hasn't help either . We hear it all works in training but when it come to game day, for some reason it all gets forgotten .
We don't have the players to read a game , To take control and use their heads .
I do agree with 1865 in regards of two new centres , There a must for next season , Lancaster has pace and should be first team also . Rankin's off back to Aus so Shaul will be no 1.

| Regarding Inu, why would a top class NRL player leave a big contract in Union to sign a 6 month deal if he didn't have a contract already signed at another club.
When a player as good as Inu becomes available you offer him more than a 6 month contract .

| Inu's comments were a little ambiguous, something like "nothing happening at this moment in time". It was the journo who said Inu laughed the story off. Inu actually said he found the story and the number of tweets he was getting was "pretty funny".
This rumour still has legs, I reckon.

Would love it to be true.

I've not got a problem with that necessarily, but I like centres that look to skip to the outside draw defenders in and feed their winger.
The main point of me starting this thread was to see if others felt the same as me about our back line being the slowest and least skilful in the league. It's something I worried about at the beginning of the year and felt we needed to address.
Our most skilful centre at the club is Logan, without a doubt, but obviously he has flaws in his game and is not quite ready for regular SL in such an important position yet. However, Lancaster, as he's now back fit just has to play.
Also Radford needs to decide who he wants at FB too. This one week in one week out is doing us no favours and Shaul is visibly lacking in confidence.

Agree with pretty much everything you've said, however, Micheals has being our best defensive 3/4 IMO (misses fewer tackles per total tackle count than Shaul,Lineham, Yeaman & Talanoa) , he also makes fewer errors/game than all the 1-5 backs and yet makes more metres/carry than Yeaman & Lineham.
Given he's had feck all when it comes to getting the ball at all in attack never mind in space I think criticism directed at Micheals is unfounded, he is the least of our problems quite frankly, I'd rather keep him than yeaman all things being equal.
What we need is a creative/flair centre like the SL dream team centre our coach got rid of, Radford couldn't develop a dose of the clap in a whore house when it comes to the backs and Crooks was an especially bad situation that we won't resolve without paying big bucks for an Oceanic player, Inu would be perfect as the blockbusting centre but I just can't see him coming.

| I agree with this, Michaels is so under used its unreal. Good in defence and I think if given space down the wing he'd beat most of his opposition.

| Michaels is solid, good defence and runs well and makes good metres, but he has very little skill, has he made a break yet this season, he would never have scored a try like Naughton did against Cas, on Friday he had a bit of space and was caught within 5 metres by Watklins (who is fast, but you would think a winger would get further than that).
He is Ok as a winger, but not big enough for the centre, so not sure why he is being compared to Yeaman, pretty average signing for a quota player and wont have come all the way from Australia for small money either.
Just remembered he did make a break and score a good try against Catalans at home, but that's about it.
