I've mentioned plenty of times previously, with specific examples, of how he is targeted around the ruck because of his often sloppy work in the tackle. He's seen as a player to get at, but to try and avoid his strong front on defence.



Something else I've countered many times. The most often used defence of Radford is that 'he does the little/unnoticed things well'. That's just a complete non-argument, not mentioning any specifics, and is a cop-out used by people don't really know what the 'little things' are rather than get into a more technical discussion.

Radford is a plodder, end of conversation, we should be more ambitious.

and you can see the queue of players OOC at the end of this season all the way back to the Humber Bridge trying to get into the FC team..
We are a very ambitious club hence why you are able to watch from your seat at the KC Fitzgibbon, Long, Calderwood, Omeley, Berrigan, Manu, Luaki etc etc every week unless injured...
I remind you of salary caps and quotas that get conviniently forgotten in these conversations!! the company run a Rugby club not a magic show where rabbits can be pulled from hats ..

Have to disagree with that. Most of Radford's 'bad press' with fans is down to him playing a role he wasn't suited for IMO. That and the fact that he isn't really on-field captain material. He's had a better reception this season with the burden of the captaincy removed and playing at prop.

He's a hard worker and does some things very well. He does other things badly. Overall I'm not too unhappy with one more year from him.
