| One thing that Sezer has some is developed his game, gone from a running half to a controlling one.
Although have to say I'm impressed with his running game, looked really good in the 2nd half, think he could be a threat near the line, as he is pretty strong.

Thought one of the major aspects of the comeback on Saturday was Sezer's running threat, especially 20/25 yards out from the Wigan line. It made their defenders very wary of him and had the effect of pulling Wigan's defensive line closer in the middle, hence creating the space out left for Martin to exploit, as he did wonderfully!! Sezer was running very close to the Wigan line, especially in the last twenty minutes, continually committing the defenders, putting doubt in their minds. Like you say, close in he is going to have defenders caught in two minds, will he run or will he go wide. One of our biggest faults in recent years (amongst our plethora of faults!!) has been the sheer predictability of our play close to opponents line. It has been so telegraphed (and slow!) that the entire ground has been able to read where we are going (nowhere usually!!). Our attacking structure has unquestionably been one of our most significant progresses in the season so far with Sezer at the heart of it, whether running or directing the ball.

| Have to say, I thought we had that all sewn up in the first half and I have not seen us throw away a lead like that and not see the game out in a long while, you really showed us how to deal with adversity and come out on top, we changed too many things round and then became too complacent, thinking we were in control and we weren't.
Credit to Hull as they saw our weaknesses and exploited them like a good team should, you wanted it much more than we did and our experienced heads should have been getting back to basics to see the game out, instead we didn't respect possession or field position, we made stupid decisions and game away silly penalties, good luck for the next rounds.

| Some KR guy on TotaRL complaining about FC fans spreading rumours about two of their players. Anybody know what he is talking about?

It looked like it was all done and dusted at half-time (possibly even after 20 minutes!). From your perspective I think you're right in that a sense of complacent 'job done' attitude seemed to creep into your play. Then, as we gradually clawed our way back into the contest, you found it impossible to pick up again. Momentum in sport is a strange thing, when it's lost it can be very difficult to pick up the thread again and I think that was definitely a major factor in the outcome on Saturday night. As your players realised the game was still very much in the balance they then became panicky and started to push the pass where a bit of calmness was needed. As disappointing as the result must have been for you, think it has to be set in the wider context. Your team have barely put a foot wrong over the past two years so the odd slip-up is understandable. Still think you remain the team to beat over the remainder of 2025. If you find yourselves playing rovers again, you will have plenty of support over on this side, don't worry about that!!!!!

| let's be honest, if rovers do now end their 2 generation trophy drought, it's only because we knocked wigan out for them

After watching the game again today a few things really stood out. The first being the carries and metres that both Barron & Martin made coming out of our 20 was fantastic. The performance of Sezer especially in the 2nd directing the play & his running. Hardaker & Bourouh who have really stood up since joining the club. I know Big Herman often and rightly gets spoken about, but thought Knight & Ashworth really drove us forward.
Every player from 1-17 put in one hell of a shift and that’s all we ever ask.
Great to see the togetherness not just of the players, but also the Coach and the owner too.
Liam Knight looks a very solid signing.

| That explains his quick exit to hudds then.
It's rife at rovers isn't it? Rumoured to be why one of their former assistant coaches left
