| As said before the game Salford are better than us, thought both teams were poor today in attack, but Salford made less errors than us.
Impressed with Trueman, looked dangerous, hope we can keep Clifford. Still think Hoy will come good.

| Our worst enemy today just far too many errors, poor discipline and brain farts. Had we stuck to what served us well the past few games we’d have likely won the game.
Still some positives to take and we haven’t thrown the towel in like we would have done previously but disappointing it’s a game we quite simply gave away.
McIntosh was poor and wouldn’t be disappointed if I didn’t see him in the 17 for the rest of the season. Lane again guilty of missing too many tackles and dropping off them. Houghton for me also dipped back in to the less effective performance level.
Trueman again improving with more minutes he plays.
Definitely a lot to work on moving on to next week.

| Cannot knock the effort but really poor execution today. Salford are a very good side and you can't turn over the ball so much and expect to win.
Hopefully Carlos back for next weekend and I'd consider Barron or Martin on the wing.

Thought Hoy had a decent 2nd half. Didn't deal with 1 high kick but he ran the ball very well and looking threatening.

its because there is nothing left in the tank after doing too much defending once again all self inflicted
We have seen the difference it makes when our discipline is relatively good but today once again the errors and poor discipline cost us the game.

Played well, works really well with Croft, very happy with our halfback pairing though, just need to get a few forwards to lay the platform

Giveover.
We made mistakes but we was in the game. If we had won youd have said nothing.'"
To be honest think Bonaire makes a valid point. I’ve been critical of Houghton in the past and have praised his recent performances but today I thought he was pretty ineffective and not helped by the amount of work we had to do due to errors etc which was compounded by not spelling him.
A game we could have and should have won but too many errors and poor completion gifted it to Salford.

Yes, Sneyd doing Sneyd things.
Won us plenty of games over the years including a couple of Cups but it was time for a change. Happy with Clifford.

Sure did. He helped win us 2 trophies. Shall I explain what they are?

| There are positives to take from today but also some big calls to make by Smith I feel.
McIntosh has done his time in reserves, played well and earned his chance again, but I don't feel like he took it. Costly errors at the end when just holding the ball would have seen us attacking Salford's line. Does Smith now drop him after just 1 game back in? Or give him another shot?
Personally just don't think he's good enough at this level but not sure if we've got anybody else who is. Scott isn't the answer on the wing. Would like to see Martin given a go to be honest, but would he a huge ask against Warrington for his debut.

| Lads didn't give up and certainly didn't throw the towel in. Not the best display but still think we are heading in right direction. In the game right till the end. Dust our selves down and go again. In truth the team we have now are not top 6. We need a few new players to move forward which Smith is sorting. Onwards and upwards

Sometimes experimental selections pay off at Magic. Liam Harris in 2018, three loanees last year.
