Leeds were running at him a fair bit in that 2nd half spell that killed us and there's good reason why. He's not the best at getting square at the ptb and he also seems to like pointing to his outside defenders a lot and not concentrating enough on the big bloke a few yards away and closing.
I personally hope we get rid, along with a few others.'"
I agree with most of that. He's speed of thought is far too slow for me, he has improved a little over the last few weeks but defensively is still very suspect.
I thought two of our better performers during the season had stinkers yesterday in Yeaman and Tickle, they wasn't on there own but I've come to expect a little bit more off them this year. 9/10 Yeaman makes that defensive read right were he comes out the line yesterday it probably cost us two tries and i just thought Tickle didn't really offer much compared to recent weeks but he wasn't on his own in the pack because apart from Westerman i'm not sure any of them came out with much credit, we got well and truly beat in the pack.
I was also once again disappointed with Houghton despite what other people think he just doesn't cut it for me and I can't wait for Herminia to arrive because we certainly need something around dummy half.

TBF I thought Turner was one of the better performers on the field with Whiting, Westerman, Obst and Phelps, nobody else really came out of the game with any real credit and thought Horne was very anonymous.

Presumably the only reason Mac didn't get booed today when we were leading is that the screen was behind you and you couldn't see him when the coverage showed him?
And I guess he's a hero now anyway?

I thought both sides let us down on occasion, but yes, the left slightly more so. But the difference is that yesterday's disappointing display from the left hand side was the exception rather than the norm, whereas I think Turner has rarely looked strong defensively. He's managed to make Ablett look like a cracking attacking centre over the last 2 weeks, that's not good enough IMO.

That attempt by Briscoe on BJB for their first try was shocking.

The race out of the line by Yeaman left Briscoe in no man's land. Blame the golden boy for that try and the one in the second half when he shot up again and failed to tackle Maguire.

Hopefully Adam Pearson is the George Martin of rugby league.

I agree that Yeaman was defensively poor at times. Briscoe however actually got the BJB but just made a really poor fist of pushing him into touch. BJB should have been halfway to the stands IMO.

Yeaman's decision to race up left Briscoe with a difficult choice. Move in and try to stop the ball going to the wing or stay out and cover the winger. In the end I don't think he made either decison and never gave himself a chance of putting BJB in the stands. I still blame Yeaman for putting him in that position.

Yeaman was pap, but Briscoe managed to get into position to tackle BJB then failed to do so. Both to blame for mine.

| Don't know if it's been mentioned before but Willi Manu's fantastic effort to track back and ankle tap BJB when he had a clear run to the line would have been up there with Tom Briscoe's tackle on the unfortunate Peter Fox in 2010 if we hadn't shipped another 3 tries.
