For one club? I highly doubt it.
It's either all capped or none, and you wouldn't be the only big spenders unless he went ridiculous and got you in trouble with your dependence upon him.

The salary cap has got more holes in it than a cullender. A world wide successful businessman like Koukash will have a huge financial team working at this very moment on ways around the cap LEGALLY, the RFL are a bunch of armatures and wont know whats going on at half the big clubs now. The only reason other clubs have been done in the past was due to image rights deals that the RFL were made aware of due to it being tracable or the fact that your at the foot of the table spending a full cap and bring in 4 players and and a top coach one of which was a world record signing to nearly make the playoffs in the same year.

Sorry, wrong end of the stick. I thought you meant a legal loophole to get a temporary exemption/increase for one club. Thought you were suggesting he'd challenge the legality of a salary cap in court, like Bradford(?) used to talk about.

No didn't mean that, although I can't say he'd never take that option as effectively the Salary cap in a low paid sport like RL comes under the restriction of trades act in British law. So if he did ever decide to take the RFL to court he would win his case, this was the same arguement Bradford had before they went pop!

Hopefully that's true and the Galloway one fell through and we've got pea instead . Do think we need 2 props with size and aggression to move us up the table . By just getting 1 , we"d be like for like this season . Could do with 2 in my opinion .

I think we could do with two props, I will be amazed if Paea doesn't go to the NRL.

Well, hiring people to get around the rules is hardly in the spirit of the game, is it?
If that's the way he's going to pay it, then I truly hope he fails.
Given the rubbish you lot have been served up by previous owners, I thought you'd have more class about yourselves.

Spirit of the game??? What's that mean? At the end of the day he'll have advisors around him 24/7 telling ways of making money how to get round paying money and if there's anything he's spending money on they'll give him all the possible loopholes there are available by the law of the land to get around things like the salary cap. He's not just a successful businessman in Britain but in various other countries, when you have wealthy people with no real solid background on paper there people who arnt to be messed with.
Koukash also intends to get involved in the world of rugby league to change it for the better there is a excellent two page column in Sundays Racing Post.
Very positive stuff - interview was with the press last Monday.
Some quotes :-
'I realised straight away what I had inherited - it was like a scene from a Horror Film'
'Brian and I are even now settling on the 2014 team and looking further down the line'
' I am in this for the long term - I have given a commitment that we will turn the club around & I intend to get into the world of RL to change things there as well.
This guy ISN'T messing around I think he's going to totally overhaul the game and for the better, he might just be the guy to save RL.

My thoughts too originally, but checking his record in NRL it's about 56 games over 6-7 seasons at 3 clubs.
So never mind what he's done here, his record in Oz is as a fringe player at best, and given what they think of SL, how likely is an NRL club to offer a contract/package better than here, even with current exchange rates.
So coming to Hull if he is being offered say 120K plus extras may not be as fanciful as some think.
