| I cant believe some of the negative stuff folk come out with on here. Give the guy a chance before posting dross. I will be the first to shout out loud if the appointment is a failure but at the moment who knows? None of the all seeing Gods on here can say if the appointment will be a success or a failure for sure even though they might think they know, only time will tell.
As far as PS blooding and progressing youngsters goes. He was stood next to me at West Hull watching the reserves and had to ask me who Craig Hall was - fact! I had to show him MY TEAM SHEET!!! Thats is the only time I personally ever saw him at a game. Not saying he hasn't been more than that but I havent seen him. During his time here I saw him at ONE training session for the reserves and the academy and I have been to most. If he had been there I would have seen it - he wasnt.
Richard Agar - One game in charge , one attendance at academy - last week against Cas. NEVeR saw PS at a single academy game.
Just some points for thought. Now the restraints are off lets just see what RA can do with the systems they teach etc. Its a fact that the academy and the reserves follow patterns as set down by head coaches - not assistant caoches, in order that the players will fit in readily if needed.
Good luck Richard Agar, surely we'll all be happy if you are successful.

| Cheap option from a badly run club. We have Rule who was our marketing director now running the rugby club with little experience (cheap option) They have done the same now with Agar. 2 years at best with York City Knight (what did they acheive under him) now he is charge of once a rugby club with high ambitions, not anymore
Im sorry why do people bang on the British theme, its sad. I dont care if hes Afgan, Chinese or a bloody marshon we needed someone to take a grip of this club and sort it out. As Mcrea (spelt wrong) once said about bad influences in the club, he was right but this time it is coming from the top.
We are going have 2 years out in the wilderness of average performances, yet next year will get the spin of how great a season we are going to have so we have to increase your season tickets to line our own back pockets. Who in the right mind will sign for this club. A head coach who no one has heard of.

Well it would seem the natural choice.
In some ways, I'm quite pleased. Hull FC seem to be finally dumping the showmanship and are finally getting back to grass roots which has always done us proud in the past.

| I want to wish Richard all the very best. With an appointment from within we have someone who 'Gets' what Hull FC is, and what it means to us supporters. He'll also know what a load of miserable beggers some of us are.
Onwards and upwards chaps, it's the only way to go!

| I, like many others, have to admit to being slightly under whelmed about RA's appointment. Nonetheless, he gets my 100% backing so best of luck Richard.
As regards RA's assistant, I would like to see someone appointed who has a full copy of the coaching manual. It seems that when Bomber left he took the page that covered dummy runners. I don't think JK or PS noticed it was missing.

We are not talking about West Hull or Skirlaugh here, we are talking about Hull FC for christ sake. How can Andy Last be an assistant coach :2h0eubvdat a top club:2h0eubvd so early in his career?!? I'd ask a similar question about Agar!
I have nothing against Rich or Andy, i wish them both well, i'm just truly concerned at the lack of experience both of them have in their new roles (if Lasty is the assistant). If anything i'd rather have an 'older head' for Richard Agar to be able to go to for advice etc.
I'd also like to add what the hell has this "young british coach" e got to do with anything? Since when does nationality come into when coaching an RL team effectively? Surely you look for the best option available at that time regardless of ethnicity! '"
What about Cummins at Leeds? Or Lowes at Wire? It happens all the time.

| Very Dissapointed indeed, Maybe a change of coach, but no change in the boards lets do it on the cheap policy then. As for assistant its got to be James (i speak my own words and my minds my own) Rule..., Afterall he declared Michael Dobson not good enough......, from watching him after 1 game, its obvious from that, the man is a rugby talent spotting guru, along with the Other talent spotter who he went to Oz with.
But gotta give him a chance the board truly believe in him, and we know, they only have the clubs best interest at heart.
