You will find a mixture of all the above mentionned reasons included I am sure.'"
Agree, and exactly my point... not solely down to the economy. I'm not letting FC blind us with that excuse when the reality is a section of fans are finally voting with their feet.

The economic effect will be felt much more this time round than last year. It won't be the sole reason though, maybe the lack of signings coming in could be a reason although last time we had finished in 12th and this time we have finished in 6th. People have less and less disposable income and watching RL is not a priority, I was really close to not renewing this season but it had nothing to do with Agar and the team.

We should be happy that our club will have less money to spend?
Really?

Yes why not? Given that it's not going to send the club into financial meltdown and it's the most effective way of letting the board know supporters aren't happy I think it's a good thing. IMO if the club has less money to spend due to selling less pass sales the board are to blame not the people who don't buy the passes.

Perhaps the most pointless and irrelevant post I've ever seen on this board.
1) My financial situation has no relevance to that of Hull FC's
2) We were discussing income from season ticket sales not overall income.

Either way it's my club and I love it, that's why I go and watch them. I don't want to see dwindling crowds or anything else that could affect the club in any way. Anyone that does is not a true fan imo, they can't be. If you want to prove a point about Agar then email the club and speak out at the forums they hold. Last season he finished 6th and was unlucky not to make the top 4. If we drop down to 8/9th this season the board will act. Hoping that we sell less tickets to try and prove a point is ridiculous.

I have emailed the club re Agar many times and even spoken to Rule on the phone having him swear blind to me for 10 minutes that Agar is the best thing since sliced bread. I haven't attended a forum because on the radio they come across like one of those southern state evangelical conferences that you see on the god channel.
Everyone is entitled to spend their money how they like but you saying that my viewpoint is ridiculous is not on. You have a fairly old-fashioned view of what it is to be a supporter (but no less valid), mine is the more modern one that supporters at the end of the day are consumers. I don't think anyone can argue that by the continued retention of Agar the board are giving the fans what they want, so eventually the good will runs out and it costs them in pass sales, that's their fault not the consumer's in my opinion.
If you think the only people who are true fans are those who stick to the 'In any kind of weather' mantra, hand their money over and accept whatever they are given then fair enough but IMO you couldn't be more wrong.

Hmmm but you seem to think that if the club looses 20% of it's income it's all amazing still
2000 passes easily equates to roughly £200,000 of income quite a bit, any club would miss that.
And it'll be really inspiring for our star signings to see 2000 fans vanish in their second season of their contract, when all we hear is how amazing the fans are, how amazing a packed KC is.

I don't think a true fan would like the fact that the their club are losing money due to reduced pass sales. Whether it's an older view or a modern one makes no difference, I don't want to see the club lose £200k worth of income.
It's not up to the fans who runs and manages the club, otherwise it would be a constant merry-go-round. The club seem convinced right now that Agar is the man, they backed him with his desire to get rid of some deadwood and also backed his vision of the side in terms of recruiting the players he wants and even spending money on some of them like Westerman and Tansey. However, don't be fooled, Kath is a very shrewd businesswoman and knows her rugby and if she feels that things are starting to go wrong she will act. She did so with Bomber, Kear and Sharp. If Agar finishes top 6 this season or better then he will be fine but should he not finish top 8 then I think he will be gone.
Right now there are no grounds to get shut of Agar as he delivered a much more competitive side last season. This season will be a big test for him with not a lot of signings coming in and others sides recruiting fairly well. He has a set side pretty much and it will now be a huge test of his coaching ability. He will be judged by his results.

It's been a real filip reading your posts. You've done what many of us thought was impossible and made some of our negative mainstays look positively... well... positive. Cheers mate and Merry Christmas.

| I think that many of those not renewing their passes will be because of the reserved seating in the East Stand. My mates all got their passes before I could, and have seats together. When I went to get mine all of the seats around them were taken, so I decided not to renew, simply because I don't want to go to the game and sit by myself. I will still go to games when I'm home, only in the South Stand with mates without passes.

I agree with much of this. However I do think that Kath et al will be expecting more than a top 6 finish as a return on their investment. It wouldn't surprise me if they let Richard Agar go if we do not reach a final.

I agree, but a lot will depend on who else is available, it's all well and good wanting Agar to leave, but there aren't a huge list of REALISTIC candidates.
We could end up with Last in charge!!

It's true - and I still haven't given up on Agar. But I must say I've never seen Last as a possible future first team coach, although it probably ought to be in his personal future career plans.
