Saints are paying big money for an average player in Burns, yes he tries hard but he is very limited and not naturally talented.

I disagree that he's average. He was clearly shagged last night and should have been brought off, but he's a fantastic 100% competitor and has a skillset that would be better showcased behind a more dominant pack. He's not going unless Rovers sign an upgrade anyway.

I agree. Fantastic competitor. 28 nil down with 2 minutes to go and he tried to kick a 40-20. We battered the hell out of him all night though and it's obvious he isn't popular with our players

Burns is a good player & competitor, but he can be distracted & taken off his game plan very easy, & constantly moans to the ref about what the opposition are doing, when he is one of the worst for niggling etc...will saints be able to stop him from going off his game plan?

Rovers will sign either Sandow or Carney . Both are an upgrade on Trevor Burns.
Saints should be looking at those two , not Trevor !!

Burns is a decent player who plays with 100% heart but not a patch on Dobson imo
