| The rumour between Widnes fans was always that Tickle was happy to come but Hull were haggling on a fee, not many said it was a done deal.
We payed daft for Brown so we aren't going to pay daft for every decent player that comes along. How is a 100k fair for a player that has one season left on his contract, that figure was similar to Brown who was originally staying at hudds till 2015

Tickle is a far better player than Brown ever will be.

Your daft for signing Brown...he is $hit.As for Tickle, will still cost you in excess of £100,000 for him.You must have some money to spend on wages.

| If it's true they've offered £50,000 I'd bite their hands off! Not missed him since he's been out, and he's a good, if not outstanding 2nd rower. Only thing we'll miss is his goalkicking - not been impressed with Holdsworth's this season and I'm not sure Crooks will be playing every game. Also Westerman is pretty average at it. Am I missing anyone? Heremaia?

| If Tickle isn't wanting to sign a contract extension then it would make more sense to sell him now and get some money for him than allow him to go for free at the end of next year.
He's a great player, been one of our better players over the last year and is one of the best kickers in the league. He is also a current England international. If we were to sell him then the fee must be relevant to all of these points.
We would also have to have a replacement signed up, too, hopefully someone along the lines of Whitehead or Bateman.

For me if £50K is the figure Widnes have offered I'd also tell them to do one as Tickle is one of our better and most consistent players. £50K in the grand scheme of things is not alot of money and honestly if it were my money I would rather see Tickle play here next season and go for free than accept a pittance fee and struggle to find a suitable replacement.
I think Widnes are trying it on a little with an offer like that, if they want him out of his contract then they have to pay a fair fee which £50K isn't.

| As much as i like him I'm not too bothered he's going. If he doesn't want to be here so be it. If we can get 100k then we've done well.

| kicking apart he is decidedly avarage, if he could not kick he would not even be mentioned.
Not missed him at all whilst we have Foster but we will struggle when he goes back to Saints if we dont sign an 80% plus kicker

Thats why he played for England against the Exiles and why Widens are prepared to pay a fee for him
