One of the best players in the club and my favourite player. The way he never lets you down, plays his heart out and puts his hand up to help play in so many different positions without any drop in form.

I presume Richard's testimonial would start sometime in 2014, he signed in late 2003 and made his debut at the start of the 2004 season.

Dont normally do testimonials as players are well paid now but would go to Whitings.I would love 17 Richard Whitings in the team as you know you would get skill,passion and commitment every week,not many length of the pitch trys mind

Where's the bad news?

One of the most important signings we could have made this season, the man's invaluable, never gives less than 100% and will play effectively anywhere he's asked.

I remember at the Wigan game this season, when Wigan scored their 5th or 6th try and they were well out of sight, the players gathered in goal and looked ready to give up. Everyone was silent except Whiting, who gave the team a right bollocking, even Lynch was looking sheepish! Sums the guy up, got to love his passion and enthusiasm.
