| Put it this way, If Wigan had have had as many chances as we did in the 20, they would have rattled up another 30 points. We look clueless in attack still. At one point, I wanted a player to run away from their try line to the 20 as we actually look more dangerous from deeper. We get in the 10 and hardly ever score.

Over the course of the last few weeks I've developed itchy knuckles whenever I see his face or hear his voice. I just want to give him a slap or a good shake when he comes out with his increasingly unrealistic wafflings.'"
My feelings exactly. 3+ years is a long period of relentless disappointment. He's like a Dementor from Harry Potter, sucking the soul out of the club and the spirit out of its fans. Wish he'd sod off and soon.

| We must be reaching the end game of Agar's tenure now.
He has assembled his own team & had a relatively healthy squad. And yet, we've gone backwards. He can tell us where we have gone wrong each week, but seems unable to rectify the problems.
As soon as we go 2 scores down in a game, you know there's not a chance we can come back to win.
I have faith in AP to do the right thing.

Pretty much how I see it and think it will happen. Going backwards from last year is unacceptable with what IMO is a better squad and with definitely fewer injuries overall. He knows what's wrong for the most part but cannot fix it and continues to make the same mistakes particularly with bench selection. A change is needed and I think it will come.

I very much hope you are right. My concerns are that Rule has been Agar's biggest advocate, has staunchly refused to acknowledge the importance of the coach anyway, and is Pearson's main adviser. Also the worry that if he were to replace Agar, he might think the current national coach would be a good idea.

The one good thing is that AP said he was due to talk to Agar last week and referred to him as "the most important man at the club", not Agar but the coach. That's an improvement on Rules belief.

The scary thing is that I think Kath & the previous board would have been happy for him to remain in charge.
Scrapping for 8th place is pretty depressing for a club of our size.

That is encouraging. Hopefully Pearson's independent viewpoint will allow him to review the evidence before him which is that going into a fifth season of Agar will not deliver silverware. Or a Challenge Cup match unless we draw a Championship club. Or a play-off berth.

I did have, but it's starting to wane now. We need an indication of better things now, not at the end of the season.
If the early part of next week brings no hints of new things to come, I'll start believing Agar's position was a condition of sale.

Was Rule taking that viewpoint on behalf of his old employers though?. Maybe the agenda will change now AP is here, & Rule will have to (or be able to) implement a change in direction. We always knew that if Agar left, he would just be replaced by another cheap, easy, option under the old BOD.
Now AP is here, I'm hopeful we'll aim higher coaching wise.

How utterly wrong is it that I was hoping we wouldn't win tonight, and hope Rovers overtake us tomorrow, simply because it might result in some action? Absolutely ridiculous that it's come to this. I'll shut up now - morphing into Jake the Peg.

I always thought the change would come at the end of the season to be honest. AP would need a bit of time to assess things & look at all aspects of the club.
He wants to become the biggest Super League franchise. He wants regular finals. He wants crowds to increase. He won't settle for just competing but getting beat.
That's why I think he'll end up doing the right thing.

I know what you mean!. You only wish for it to happen because you care so much for the club.
I'm looking forward to Agar explaining the 9th place finish at the end of the season though!

You seriously expected Pearson to walk in and sack Agar right away?
We're now so close to the end of the season that I don't expect any action to be taken until after the playoffs at the earliest.
