| Massively over-rated by many, too greedy and no footwork. It's time to give Briscoe his preferred position. Yeamo can put in some big hits why not try him as second row?

It certainly looks like that. If he's fit, he plays.

| If he's fit he plays ... because Yeaman is the best centre we have by a country mile.
Just get over it and support the team.

| Yeaman is what we have come to expect from a British centre: a 2nd rower that is too small (in heart or mind), to play in the pack but is a bit quicker than your average # 11 or 12.
We have/had a far better centre, unfortunately he was playing at full back last night.

So you don't think people should discuss these matters just accept them? Just because Yemo is a certain started when fit doesn't mean have just accept it.

Needs to improve big style for me.'"
But then showed good skills by hammering Webb. You can't just pick one bad tackle.
Anyway he dropped the one early on the last one was superb work by McGuire.

| Maybe Yeamo was so suprised at getting an early decent pass it shocked him
Put a couple of terrific hits in when coming out of the line, and thats great if he connects every time, or his fellow defenders either side know hes spotting someone so they can cover him racing out, rather than trying to cover the big hole he leaves for players to move into. Said it many times...he defends facing forwards then inwards when teammates either side of him are defending forwards then outwards. All do the same and in a line ( basics) we'll be tough to break on our left side.
This is a problem our right has suffered ( Briscoe for their first try ) for many years ( Best, Blacklock, Sing ). Calderwood rarely makes that error and thus makes that side more solid and Berrigan strengthened that side great ,,, just need Tom defending same pattern all time too.

| It's a no brainer for me. If he's fit he's on the team sheet.
He is still the best centre we have at this club, yes he didn't play very well on Sat but he's had a good season imo.

I don't get the whole he is overrated thing either (on this forum) as there are very very few positive comments about him.'"
There always seems to be targets from the fans, right now it's either Horne or Yeaman. Yeaman is pretty consistent and is a good solid SL centre.
Right now I don't see a better option tbh.

Top class centres put the hits in and then dont make bad mistakes frequently like Yeamo has started to do. On that basis i can indeed pick at least one bad tackle per game which isn't good enough.
The last one if you watch it closely on sky Yeamo dropped it too straight into McGuires hands.

Yeamo has never been a target for me, ive often supported him when others dont. I am now at the point now though that you've got to question his selection based on the errors in both defence and attack that have crept into his game.

You are purely seeing Yeaman like some people see Radford.
When fans don't like someone they don't like them. Seen quite a bit of Leeds over the last few years and I can tell you Senior also makes a lot of errors, bad passes etc. In fact every player does, Fitzgibbon missed a one on one on Saturday but that goes unnoticed.

I like to think i see players based on how they perform with no bias. Fitz has made errors too in most games, his pass to Long was a shocker for example, however for Fitz he makes up for the one or two errors in the rest of his performance.
All would have been forgiven for Yeamo on Saturday had he held the late pass to drive through McGuire and win the game.
Biggest mistake of the night for me was Tickle though bombing the try at the other side of the field. Cost us too.

But surely that applies to Yeaman, he missed McGuire early on but then pulled off one or two important tackles. The early one was bad handling from him but McGuire deserves credit for the one late in the game.

It's not just the one game though. He makes those kinds of defensive mistakes pretty regularly, and has some huge flaws in his attacking game. You know I don't pick on players, Paul - my default position is to support whoever wears the jumper. But Yeaman is not a top class centre and never will be IMO.
