I concur with your first line.

| Quote: ccs "I wouldn't describe Hall+Burns as halveless, even though Burns missed most of the second half.
Their attacking flair was bound to outplay Whiting+Westerman.
Changing game plans only works when you've a reasonable settled side.
Westerman, for example, seems to be going backwards at the moment. Changing his role every match just doesn't suite his game.'"
you cant use the fact we had Hall as an excuse after all youve been telling us for the last couple of years how useless he is

| The thing that puzzled me yesterday was that he's gone with Heremaia in the halfs all season , wrongly in my eyes . But then moves Horne to full back and puts Heremaia on the bench , who didn't come on till near the 60 min mark . Surely he had to have either Horne or Heremaia in the halfs instead of 2 back rowers . Also thought briscoe had another terrible game . Doesn't look interested , hardly ever took the ball in , was left to crooks on numerous times on the 1/2 tackle when usually the wingers take it in . We can use the injurys as an excuse all day long , but there's no structure to our play or game plan involved . Our attack is so slow and predictable , must be so easy for the defending team . Until our passing improves we"ll never trouble no one , its to slow and not crisp enough . Like others have said a scrum half wouldn't change us that much at the minute because there's so much wrong with the team .

| What was disappointing was the lack of pressure put on Hall, particularly after the thug went off, as you just knew he be getting the ball for the kicks - yet he had all the time in the world. The disjointed attack was upsetting but somewhat understandable. The dropped balls and dumb defence were inexcusable as was the overall lack of movement. The game was so slow even the dobbins 10 minute wonders didn't tire.

| FWIW I think you should stick with Gentle , for at least as long as you stuck with Agar.

We'll take that on board.
Thanks.

| The fans have turned now .
Lose the next 2 games and Gentle will be gone .
Get Brian Smith before Salford do ! A new broom needed ASAP to sort this lot out .

| If we're to replace Gentle (which I don't think they should as I don't think this mess is actually down to him totally) I'd love us to bring in Daniel Anderson.

Anderson has just taken a new role as head of the ref's in the NRL hasn't he?

| If Gentle was that good why hasn't he coached a NRL side. If this was his first season then its understandable, it would take time. If we do get rid I hope its sooner rather than later because with have got out of contract players that need their futures sorting. Leaving it to the end of the season is too late. A new coach would want his own players and in our sport just cant get rid which would mean another wasted season.

| Quote: Mars "I'd agree completely if we'd been playing like that with Holdsworth, Ellis, Lynch and McDonnell in the team.
But yesterday was about lack of leadership and direction. And that was all sitting in the stands. That doesn't make the performance acceptable - it wasn't and I've said in an earlier post that I don't think Gentle has adapted very well to those injuries - but the fact is we're down our 4 best players.
I'm not for accepting mediocrity any more than you are (I've suffered through the Lloyd and then the Agar years) and I've no issue with fans or AP being p***** off (I know I am) - all I am saying is that we (fans and AP) should balance our recent poor form with those key players missing against our overall good form whilst Gentle's been here and give the guy a bit more time and support.
If we're going to ditch our coach every time we string two or three poor performances together then we'll get nowhere.
If we're still performing like this in 4 or 5 weeks then I'll agree with you.'"
Same stance here as I said earlier it would be pointless getting rid now he should get to the end of the season. Hopefully (possibly/maybe) by then we'll have had a few games with all of our recruits playing and we will see if the potential of the team with those players all in it can be realised. I'm just hoping that we're already a way on with next year's recruitment and that we have some further strengthening in the bag just this time we're not talking about it too early.
