For those of us who didn't see the game what was our biggest downfall - completion ?

I don't think we'll play anything like as badly next week.
For some reason our derby performances seem to bear no relation to performances prior or previous. Odd.

I'm sure the rules state that if the fullback totally bottles it and chickens out of attempting to catch the ball with no-one within 20 yards then all opposing players are deemed to be onside.

What gets me is how we never seem mentally switched on when we play them.

The mistakes by Briscoe, Yeaman and Horney tell me they wasn't fully focused on the job in hand.

No matter how much you don't like it, it was still a perfectly valid try.

Yes. Just couldn't build any pressure which is just criminal particularly when you're playing a team with a fragile goal-line defence.
Guilty of trying to over play things in my opinion.

You're not wrong. If we'd played like that against a decent side we'd have been dead and buried by half time.

It's very disappointing - to become one of the best teams you have to complete consistently across the vast majority of games in the year. Pleasing defensive performance again mind 16 points conceded under weight of possession including one forward pass try against is very much top 4 level.

General basic execution and composure. We bombed a few in really good positions, and far too many passes had the intended target reaching back instead of running on to it.

For a team with "fragile goal-line defence" our atack must've pretty poop, as I thought rovers defended their line pretty well.
Apart from the last10 minutes...

Sad to say the better team did lose today, but 2 points is 2 points and I'll take that...

Any news on the injuries? Do we need Jacob Miller to arive this week as a replacement for Horney.

Thought he really was poor today. Been criticised a lot this season and some of it unfairly, but today he genuinely did stink IMO.
