He needs a reason too be back there, look at the Aussie press with Watts at the moment. Whilst what happened was no relation to the Watts scenario the Aussie press will be checking everything to get a story.

I do recall an article that claims McKinnon offered to stay until the end of the season but Gentle more or less told him to leave now (words to that effect), maybe he got some dosh to go before the end of the season as Gentle felt he would not be as productive as he could be if his heart was here instead of Australia.

That does make some sense. Makes me think Gentle may have something up his sleeve regarding this season
