| With no chance of us been relegated this season Its probably why we have skimped on spending any real cash on players .
AP has seen it as an opportunity to recoup some cash from the previous seasons losses .

Feels like ourselves, Cas (focusing on off field matters like getting LED boards) and London (guaranteed relegation) have all taken this approach and there's only really 9 competitive teams in SL this year

| There's 2 things that would help solve our current issues: money and/or brains and we seem to have neither. Salford have shown time and again that if you're smart you can be competitive without spending loads of money.

1st, Shaun McRae
Interesting post !
How many have gone on to have successful
Careers after Hull FC ?
Brian Smith did !!
Seems we have only ever appointed lemons
Since 1991
That’s 33 years of mediocrity
I like Justin Morgan but feel he will be past it
Now wherever he is
Tony is a ‘ dead man walking’ - he’s utterly finished
This will only get worse before he leaves
How will he leave ???
Surely Stan goes with him and Grix gets a chance
It simply can’t get any worse and this time
That’s a truism
Until London I don’t know where the next chance
Of a win is as the team look finished mentally

| Forget Rowley or any other new coach coming in,we are stuck with Tony,Stan and Grix for the foreseeable future as AP hasn’t the finances to move them out.AP relies on this club for his own salary,so not a chance of any change.Even if Tony walked,we would still only go with Grix or Cummins. This club is at its lowest ebb since pre Super League days and things aren’t changing anytime soon.In James Clark we have a fool when it comes to knowing which players to target, yet he looks to do well with commercial deals.Whether fans like it or not our homegrown players simply aren’t SL standard as in they wouldn’t get in any squad within the top 8,fact.There are a couple of bright sparks on the horizon but they aren’t really ready yet to be in the 17 every week

| Adam isn’t a wealthy man
He runs a business year to year and
has been affected by 2 bad years of covid
Like a farmer with drought
His hands are tied and he’s doing a good job keeping the club afloat
He’s not a great man manager as not one coach has performed well with Adam as their manager
Imagine if Hull FC were a big company on the stock market !!
Would Adam still be the Chairman ?
100% he’d have gone within 2 years as he can’t manage his staff
But he can manage the money and he’s done a great job to keep us in business and have a reasonable side on the pitch
I always blame the Coach for shoite results
Always Always
Brian Smith worked miracles with bang average players
Paul Rowley at Salford another example
Justin Holbrook at Saints was a genius it seems
So good luck to our Finance Director Adam and all the best to Tony in his well deserved retirement

justin morgan is the assistant to andrew webster at NZ Warriors who had one of their best seasons last year getting to the semis, got pipped by the better broncos side in the second half
edit* himself and richard agar were in the camp with agar being the main assistant, although its not showing he's in the setup this year

I agree.... Smith, Gene & Davidson, cant afford to be sacked. hardly surprising ,considering...
Head Physio- Gone.
Head Strength & Conditioning - Gone
Both not replaced.
If both of the above aint replaced, Is there any wonder, why our players are either fatigued, or injured.
Any coach would struggle with a reduction in key areas.
Even Salford with their financial woes, have more backroom staff than we have...

| The only people that can make a difference are the players that take to the field. This is their occupation and this is their time.
There's no coach in the World that prepares their team to go and play like that team did at the weekend.
The players are the ones that need to be ridiculed and roasted, and extremely harshly, and not as individuals but as a team.
They need to be roasted to the point of embarrassment and humiliation.
Maybe then they'll see that they're playing for an important badge on their chest.

Morgan went to the Cowboys. Tangata-Toa is the NSW Cup coach to keep the Hull/Rovers vibe going

It's the closest we've got to the old UTC podcast when Dan is on it. Feels like we all need a group therapy session

| Found this about the gov loans
"The money lent to your company under the Bounce Back loan scheme must be paid back, over 6 or 10 years, with payments starting 12 months after your company receives the loan. If the money your company borrowed is not repaid, your company may be investigated by the Insolvency Service, even if it has been dissolved.31 Mar 2022"
Don't know if this helps at all

| I was a big fan of Smith being appointed originally. We might just be the club that breaks him. He’s been successful everywhere else.
When he was at the dobbins, he had an average squad, but still coached an open, dangerous style of rugby.
We seem to be watching the same old same old we watched under Radford and Hodgson.

| Just listened to the podcast, more or less spot on, as others have said a great but depressing listen.
Main take outs.
No one can see a way out.
Training facilities a shambles
No other SL wanted to sign Pele or Okunbor.
Jacob Allick, was just about done, but pulled out last minute.
