It does give the option to change things at halfback if there is no spark there or Walker gets injured and i guess he could also fill a back position in a crisis

Would have started Ashworth and held Pele back with a couple of long spells off the bench

Agree it’s a pretty weak bench with Hoy and Lane, struggling to see how Lane makes the 17. Can only think Hoys place is as cover for Walker/Smith or to possibly to allow us to move Smith to 9 if Houghton goes to 13 or sits out for a short spell.
Would much rather have seen Staveley in ahead of Lane as been more of a liability on the field the past 2 years.

Staveley/jebson second row made way too much sense to allow another prop on the bench in Sao.....instead we play the missed tackle machine lane....

We wont miss fash hes bang average. Also apart of the discipline problem, loses the ruck way too much.
