Well done on the win, Saints were probably not at their best but still streets ahaed of the rest of the league. I guess the test is van you maintain this standard until the Grand Final.'"
Just the one account , why would I need more. And why ignore me , because of my grammar? My poor grammar as done me ok, don’t worry about that . Your a sad man having to comment on that saints fans post . Really don’t get why you felt the need. But ok, you want to be like that with me fine

I echo your sentiments, IF we have ambitions of emulating Saints, we have to adopt their philosophy..
Doesnt matter which players we sign, its the ideology of a NRL Head Coach, which is the difference ..
We could hypothetically sign the entire Saints squad, in 3 months time, they would be churning out the same type of performance,as witnessed on Friday..IMO..
Unfortunately, the owner doesnt share this same vision...

Don't agree, Saints have better players than us, they are very confident.
Add Thompson and Walmsley to our squad and we would be right up there.
It will probably change this year, but when was the last NRL coach to win the GF, for every one great NRL there are 3 averages ones. Radford overall has done well, even this season better than 95% of fans predicted with this squad.
He certainly has learnt another season, bringing in an aussie doesn't mean improvement and success.

Possibly win them some major silverware seeing as they've been waiting a bit longer than us?

| I've been in the pro Radford camp for a long time but I do feel he has taken us as far as he is likely to. He is clearly at a loss as to how to deal with the lack of consistency in our performances. He has been unable to instill the winning attitude in the players who are too quick to chuck in poor performances when it suits. I'm all for honesty but coming out in the press and saying you don't know why they're inconsistent and don't know what to do about it is like lighting a firework and hoping it doesn't go bang!
Radders will always be a hero in my book. 2016 saw to that but I do think we need a change to make it to the next level. You can't just by a load of new players and expect that to solve your problems. Even if it did all that does is highlight the mistakes in previous retention.
Holbrook at Saints has had a visible impact on the players. They have developed both attitude and performance under him. Swap coaches and within six months you would see the impact each had on the other side. Regardless of what happens during the rest of the season, I'd like to see a change of coach for next year. He's had a good crack and achieved the Holy Grail for Hull fans but it's no different than keeping hold of players for too long. It catches up with you.

Don't doubt it to be honest. I just hope I'm wrong and next season doesn't prove to one too far for him.

| As there ever been a defeat this season, where people haven't wanted to strip Radford of his employment?
I can guarantee that we could get Craig Bellemy as coach, and if he lost a game, people on here would be calling for his head.
I think you just need the excitement and drama of coach changes.

Fair points indeed. Our coaching set up is very parochial and I do think Radford & Last would benefit greatly by bringing someone in from outside the area (even just in an advisory role).
The difference between good and bad performances under Gentle was one of the reasons given for his sacking.
Radford & AP both said it wasn’t acceptable & would be something that would be rectified.
Here we are in 2019 and I would say the margin between good and bad performances are much greater then before.
LR openly admits he doesn’t know why or how to fix it so do we just wait and see if this issu just magically goes away? It won’t so will continue to be an issue.
I’m not advocating sacking LR but I do think some serious thought needs to go into getting some help for the both him & Last to freshen up things and solve the great good/bad divide.
Though as has already been alluded too it may well be simply mental issues as the team have shown they can score and also defend very well indeed but too many times it seems to all go out the window and they revert alarming defence and poor execution going forward.

For every Holbrook there's a ragbag of new Messiahs who achieve nothing - Furner, Stone, Cunningham, Sheens, whatever, blah, blah, blah. If the silver bullet coach were such a simple option to solve all ills AP would be all over it.
