Quote: Smiggs "Holdsworth isn't that small tbh and I reckon we could do with as many potential ball players out there as possible because at the moment we aren't causing opposition defences any trouble at all. But I take your point, what do you suggest?'"

In France we need nasty aggressive hairy @rsed forwards who will stamp their mark on the game early and look after our halves
We haven't got any though.
In the last two weeks we've seen our smaller players smashed by at the very least contentious hits , where was the reaction from our forwards? We have no enforcers , no one who the opposition worry about.
It's a simple game , go forward first and earn the right to move it wide. I hope that PG finds a new motivational system to gee his forwards up for next week.

Quote: colt-45 "However, Anderson did not hold back in the post-match press conference when he labelled the big tackle by Ellis that left the Huddersfield scrum-half flat out on the field as a shoulder charge.

Anderson said better come and have a look at the video I've got. I didn't see anything wrong with it, not at all.

'"

Nothing wrong with it at all! Right shoulder to back of head, left hand above the shoulder- But he was gunning for poore last week.....
Eorl should have walked? That's not what Anderson was saying about Ellis- he was saying it was a penalty- which you can see from the picture it was.
I'm sure eorl will go up in front of the beaks if necessary- but it didnt cost you 6 points. Any contact to the head whether deliberate or not is a penalty- according to the referee last week. So that's you down six. Knock of the two scored from forward passes- as pointed out by the commentators on superleague full time and you really would have a load to whinge about. Ellis should have bent his back a bit more- seems from reading comments on this board that's what the majority are saying about you team in general anyway!

Easy,Horne at scrum half and Holdsworth at stand off, they are still the best half backs at the club,Miller might get to their level, but isn't there yet.
The Catalan match is too important to be still bedding in player's,play these two in their correct position's and Crook at centre and I think we'll win.

It appears threads are merging here but.... if horney fit, he has to start and we build the side around him.

Several games out, searing sun.
Don't know if it'll be ideal even if ready to go which is doubtful.
Probably worth a roll of the dice though, not a lot to lose.

Yup, and we'll bring Mr Crooks (senior) off the terraces to partner Micky P.
Sounds like a plan?

Gentle said DJ doesn't look like he will be fit, Horney probably will be.

Quote: tommyfromhull "Lineham shouldn't have passed it to him in the first place, the winger had turned his back to him in expectation that he was going to pass it. Should have dummied and gone himself, would have been away easily. I also think Arundel was hard down to by being called in touch, looked to me like he had been tackled then was pushed over the line after the tackle had been made.'"

Pretty much how I saw it regarding Arundel. In the position he was given the ball, he didn't really have a lot of option but to try the outside. The tackle also looked complete before the 2nd man came in and flipped him into touch, I thought it should have been a penalty to us.

Quote: tommyfromhull "Wasn't the best effort, but McGilvray was always going to win that contest being the bigger man and running onto it. What we should be questioning here is how Brough got so much time to place his kick, and why, when we know high balls aren't Briscoe's strength, isn't he helped in this area defensively.'"

The most infuriating about that try was that not only did Briscoe get beaten in the air, he then got in Yeaman's way when/after he landed. I think Yeaman could have made that cover tackle otherwise.
