I'd agree, but most of the signings were already made for next year anyway. I too would rather have signed no one than Martin, but don't believe he'll keep another player out if they are playing better than he is. I think it's a waste of cap space, I don't like us signing yet another 'off quota' Aussie. That said, we should really judge the recruitment next year when Gentle has a little more room to manipulate the cap to his best advantage.

Cant say I have ever really watched this guy play BUT he scored a handful of tries last season putting him easily in the top 6-7 centres in the league behind the likes of King Yeamo etc...that was in a crappy team like Cru Cru.Crucified!!!!!....surely he is deserving of a chance....24 games too so not injury prone!!!!!!

Our recruitment after the signing of Lynch didn't have to be that substantial really. A quality right centre and a backrower would have been great. I honestly don't see what this signing achieves and it also provides a serious reality check for the fans.

The statement of intent and "wait till October/November" rhetoric has not yet been matched with recruitment and McCrae's 100% control is starting to worry me.
