| Keith Galloway due to retire? Bit premature for a 25 year old.
Signed to the Tigers until 2013 and one of those guys thats always
getting a mention from the pundits around Origin time. Would rather have had him than Jason King for game 1.
Maybe in a few years time though?? Hes a machine and would love to see him at FC.

I agree. This club has been selling us "jam tomorrow" since 2007

| Good to hear that Heremaia plans to move to the UK as soon as October.
Hopefully McKinnon will also be settled over here in time for pre-season training.

Mckinnons and Hohaia contracts finish when their both 32.
Troll, you've gave it away in derby week.'"
Lets get this right Sheldon.
You would honestly take McKinnon and Heremaia over Hohaia and Laffranchi?

You're making the mistake of thinking that forward planning means success. It doesn't. You can forward plan all you like but if the plan is crap you'll get nowhere. This is the point I made earlier on. The BOD quite clearly have a plan and are sticking to it for good or ill - so far it's not produced the results that the fans want. IMO that's because of a fundamental underestimation of the importance of a good coach with plenty of experience.

As Laffranchis only played 3 games all season and has been turned into a more defensive player then yes.
In order of preference I'd have
Hohaia
McKinnon
Herehaia
Laffranchi.
Your full argument against McKinnon is he's to old and injury prone, Laffranchi's older and is struggling more this season with injury.

Yes, I will accept that Laffranchi has had a couple of injuries this season, but we are not talking about a complete knee reconstruction like McKinnon (which, like it or not, set him back massively as a player).
A forward is always going to have a longer shelf-life than a back anyway.
Remember, only last season Laffranchi was an integral and outstanding performer in a side which was one game away from a Grand Final.
MicKinnon was on the scrap-heap, offering himself for 'buttons' after being released by the mid-table Warriors!

| What rubbish, why would McKinnon sign for buttons?
He had another 18 months on his nzw deal!
He went for first team rugby with Wests who ended up one game away from the grand final!

Lol and my comment before is that they are failing to deliver a long term plan (hence the list I gave of last minute signings) AND there ideas and coaching leaves a lot to be desired.
To have a plan and it's execution fails is one thing
To fail because you couldn't plan/deliver a plan is totally unacceptable.

The list of last minute signing is totally irrelevant for the reasons I put in my response. We had players in those positions that we lost due to circumstances beyond our control so we had to react to the situation we found ourselves in.
I still say that there is plenty of evidence that the club does plan ahead, but that the plan isn't delivering the results that the fans want. If anything the club is [itoo[/i focused on the long term and not enough on delivering success on the pitch in the short/medium term. There's a balance to be found and we haven't found it.

They really are pinning their hopes that their belief in Richard Agar will bear fruit and seem to have seen him as a "project" much in the same way as Moa was seen as one by Agar. I do believe they will find it difficult to justify (even to themselves) keeping him if we don't make at least one of the finals though. I also think we have seen a glimmer of hope in the rugby being played running up to the Hudersfield game. If that game turns out to be a blip and we continue to improve I can see us all having to book our Wembley tickets although I think Old Trafford is probably too much to ask now.
If we make a final this year then their "plan" might not be so disastrous but their "plan" should also be to get us into the top 4 next year and to stay there thereafter.

Didn't Mark O'Meley come over after knee reconstruction, not turned out a bad player has he. I'll reserve judgement and see how he responds when he's over here.
