Can't believe people getting excited about obst!! I say we go with wat we got till phelps gets bedded in and see if he changes the team dynamics. Let Williams have a look in then test the waters else were imo

Isn't this the kid from Scotland ? Are you seriously expecting a kid playing at a level that probably does not come close to Pub level round here, to go into the fisst team and hold his own.....please.......are you his mum ? |

Why not. He's a pretty decent player and would provide COVER for Horne and Long. Are people expecting an international to come and sit on the subs bench?? |

You should know by now that a Club Of Our Size(tm) should only ever sign internationals. Even our water carrier ought to have past honours if at all possible. |

If Obst was available due to Wakey's situation, that's one thing, but I think paying a transfer/compensation fee for him would be too much. We should only be looking at him for a year IMO as he's not good enough for what our longer-term aims should be, and it would be madness to fork out extra money to get someone in for that short term a fix. We'd be better off blooding a youngster.
