As well as the likes of Moa and Whiting played I struggle to heap praise on them due to lack of quality in the Donny side. Afaik this game was all about the juniors, all of which brought something to the table IMO. Green looked promising and Williams caused problems. Lynn and Briscoe both looked every bit Superleague quality wingers and I thought Liam Cunningham looked the part too. Nicklas started off well with ball in hand but when he came back in he was a little quieter. For someone his age and size though he certainly knows how to put his shoulder in.

we beat what was in front of us today and did it well just be happy !!

When we played them in 2008 we beat them convincingly, and a certain Mr Washbrook was the stand out performer at half back. Not really gone well since them for him or the team has it.
You cannot really take much from todays game apart from a couple of positives from the youngsters.

Didn't go today but very glad to hear this. Wasn't impressed with him at 6 last season but thought he did pretty well at centre. If he's distributing the ball with some authority that's great news for the team.

Donny were a much different proposition to Cas and Rovers, obviously, but as it stands I'd go Turner/Long at 6/7 in Cardiff, Fitz at prop, back row Manu/Tickle/Westerman, Lauaki off the bench.

That's a pretty strong line up would be happy going in with that.

The lads did the job today and some youngsters really showed up well, why can't you give them credit for that!

Okay it was not Wigan in ther GF but if we had scraped a win I am certain you would have been on here moaning the result wasn't good enough.

if we had sneaked past halifax with a try in the final seconds,followed by a conversion(after the hooter,and by craig hall )would everyone have been happy with that? or a reasonable run out,with several promising performances from a number of youngsters,and by a very comfortable score-line?

maybe not,but i asked a reasonable question!!! i was at donny,and hull were efficient in what they had to do,and nilled them,yet some still persist in putting fc down!! i guess if we had sneaked past halifax,like rovers did,everyone would be happy?

I think the Rovers fans (like us) should be happy with the performance and workout.

Rovers put out a very inexperienced side against the best team in the Championship and beat them, i think they will be happy.
