It's cheaper to put your money in a tin in october, november and pay in december. I cannot think of a single reason why any sane person would take disadvantage of the direct debit system

Think it has only been put in to appease some people. At least they now cannot say that there should be a DD scheme etc.

It is rediculous, I'd be interested to know how they justify the need to levy such a big charge.

Surely it would be better to spend the money you were going to pay by DD on the stamps they are offering in the shop now. As long as you get enough before the end of the year.
2 stamps a week from now till the 24th december would get you enough for an adult pass.

If you can get to the shop every week, then maybe.

paying £15 extra when you can save up over 3 months and still get your pass at the same time does not sound like a good option for someone on a budget.

If anyone feels that they cannot save, give your money to me each month and I'll only charge a tenner for getting you a pass

Totally agree, it will be interesting to see how many take up the offer of the DD scheme, I would have thought very few
