Thought the stewards handled things well too they could have come in heavy handed but I think they applied a little common sense ad realised no real harm was being done, even when the conga tried to make it's way down the steps. Wasn't happy when i saw one of the inflatables being rustled away by someone in the stand to our right'"

I can only comment on what I saw and I thought a few of them had the patience of saints but granted I didn't see everything as there was a match on.
I know there was one point were some kid stood talking to one of them trying to hug him and all sorts but the steward stood calmly asking him to retake his seat.
And to be fair, the whole group could have been thrown out after the bangs, I'm assuming it was a starting pistol.
To Bilko, it wasn't a dig about the Wigan fans, just an observation. It'd be a bad case of the pot calling the kettle black if a Hull fan had a pop about any teams home atmosphere. Plus that stupid drum can't help things at your end.

| Must have been smoke filled balloons then, either that or whoever was popping them was exhaling a very large lungful of smoke at the same time. And stood next to someone with a megaphone too!!
Was thinking at the time 'what a waste', could've saved it for when their fullback/wingers were under a bomb in the second half, or at least when they were converting a try.

| Our support was magnificent last night. What annoys me is the bloody disco tunes being blasted out at the end when we are trying to cheer the lads offthe pitch with a few songs. It's the same at the KC - wish they'd stop the music!

It's worse at Wigan. In the Odsal/Cougar Park bracket for this sort of thing I'm afraid

What?
1. Your support wasn't magnificent. Especially the numbers. So you sang a couple of songs, well done.
2. And you want the club to not play music at the end so the away team can sing a couple more songs? Maybe if you had a few more fans there, your players might be able to hear you over the music.

Yes it wasnt our biggest away following of the season, but taking over 600 fans across the pennines on a cold wet friday night when our season is effectively over, is not such a bad thing.
P.S: It was still more than you brought to the KC

| I'll concede that they were balloons then, thought the bangs were incredible. And the sand or whatever it is does look like starter pistol smoke. Maybe we should arrange for a batch of them to be popped in the East or West stands at the KC when opposing teams are converting tries, it'd be a lot more effective than the OOOOOOOOooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... when he takes his run up. Plus it'd give most Hull fans a distraction rather than shouting various 'inspirational' messages at Radford and Co. when they're behind the sticks.
I have to point out that on Friday there seemed to be a distinct lack of an inflated condom floating around the stand! Other than that I had a great night. The spirit amongst our fans was more like I remember it travelling down to Hunslet, Sheff etc..
