Is that the interview in which he said, "I'm not having a crack at any other team when I say that, it is just something we as a club are proud of." ?
Well done for managing to take offence at that.

| Quote: Jake the Peg "Terrible performance on the night, far too many mistakes and poor attacking play. We can't have completed at much more than 50% yet had we been even marginally better we'd have probably won which makes it all the more disappointing. wembley has emptied the tanks of our players and although when we look back it will have been a successful season, I do think there was a real opportunity for us to pick up all 3 trophies.
We're still far too reliant on sneyd. He's been great all season and instrumental in many of our wins but when he isn't on form we struggle and carlos isn't good enough to step up IMO'"
This. 100% this.
I know it sounds daft given Wembley but at this rate I'm going to finish the season disappointed. Peaking for the CC then letting the rest of the season fritter away with a whimper unfortunately means that the lasting impression is one of missed opportunities rather than triumph.
The even dafter thing is that we've hugely exceeded expectations at the start of the season and yet still fallen short of what we might have achieved. Crazy season.

| I saw last night that Warrington look a better side without there two star Aussies, they certainly played with a lot more enthusiasm and speed than we did.Don't know who got man of the match but Hill had a very good game. And if Tony wasn't having a crack at us why mention it,anyway thats all in the past and the best team won, onwards and upwards.

| We had no field position to exploit Sneyds short kicking game due to our poor completion rate,we forced the ball and played one up rugby,i can barely remember an offload. We looked laboured passing the ball. Defence was ok in the main. We were on the wrong end of what looked like some dubious calls but lost to the better team on the night. Warrington played the game faster, found the offloads and even when they went to ground managed to find the gaps in broken play to score their 1st 2 tries. We helped them in every way we could so deserved to lose the game.
It's no disaster if we learn from it. We need to regroup and focus on Wigan and nothing else,i'm still not convinced the players haven't got one eye on Old Trafford and expected to win with ease last night. We can go to wigan and beat them,we've done it once and even if we had Saints at home it would have been a potential banana skin,Saints with no pressure on them and throwing it around are a dangerous team with a few bounces of the ball and a few decisions their way will trouble anyone. We'll go to Wigan as underdogs and if we can recreate the do or die attitude of the Challenge cup then we're in with a real chance.
Now isn't the time to be getting on the players backs, let's get behind them and see what happens. Let's be positive, out of the 3 trophies on offer that's the one we'd have sacrificed.

Also I don't just think Naughton would've backed Shaul up I also think he'd have gone the full length of the field if he'd have had the ball in the same break away position Talanoa had and if you can't see that I give up. Have you been blinded by Carlos's try. Lol !'"
You know that Talanoa was running on one leg for more than half the match, right? Including his interception break? I'm pretty sure there are plenty of players who can run faster than someone with a twisted knee.

I think we made them look a lot better than they probably were in reality. I think wigan would have taken both sides to the cleaners last night. We were dire and still were in it with 15-20 minutes to go. Unfortunately, I think wane and his band of grubby men will probably win the GF this season which will be a poor result for the game

| Quote: Sebasteeno "I dont think its a mental thing from Wembley, i just think the team is knackered, a lack of injuries has actually bitten us on the booty as very few have had any time off and it showed, we were off in intensity and at the end of the season when your supposed be peaking were done! For me thats the season over and although no one can argue that a wembley win has been great we was top for large parts of the season and at the death we lose it and finish third. Im deeply dissapointed in tonight and doubt ill be the only one'"
Agree with this, and it's a good point about the lack of injuries working against us in the end. It's been a long, tough season and it looks like we have nothing in the tank at the business end.

Agreed. All I am seeing is people attempting to have an "I am the greatest fan" competition. We had the best chance we are ever going to get to win and we bottled it. I think that we need to take a look at ourselves IMO. It's a given we are all so happy about Wembley the season will be a success but wembley was not the end of the season.

As a team (and supporters - i booked a bloody holiday not even thinking about it clashing with the cc cup final)) were used to not winning things though so winning just one thing is momentous in the eyes of the players - maybe they do think job done? If so then thats a great shame

... well it's the first time I can remember for years (and years), since the rule was changed, that the referee hasn't called play back and told the player to play the ball.

Not if the ball carrying arm hits the floor, that's only if a player offloads with the tackle being complete but the ref calling held.
Correct decision and poor play by Mini.

Im with the injuries theory. Makes sense to me
15 games we've won coming from behinD. That's a monumental statistic. And effort.
Our forward stats from last night are grim. Ellis n minis are good. Every1 else's just shows how very 2nd best we were and maybe a reflection of tiredness

| Think no injuries is no having a negative effect, many players have played too many games and the players look tired mentally and physically, players like Ellis and Houghton are missing simple tackles and making mistakes, they wouldn't 4 weeks ago.
For next season, if Micheals signs, we need to either sign a halfback or look to play Abdul there, Carlos isn't creative enough with ball in hand and Sneyd needs to work on his passing and running game, all go all out for Brough and use Carlos in the centres.
Personally I wouldn't keep Micheals and use the money and quota spot for a half, we have Tala, Naughton, Fonua and Griffin who can play on the wing.
Hopefully not many will play for England in the off season.

| imo we are running on empty, our forwards look slow and lethargic, and have done for a few weeks now, at the beginning of the season most had us 5/6 or at best top 4 with a good cup run, well we have finished 3 and won the CC, Yes it was a chance to win the league but I believe the players have put so much into this season we have gone over the edge, the effort has been there but I just don't think we have a lot left in the tank, maybe just maybe we can lift next week, we are underdogs and maybe we have one last bite in us, COYH
