| Quote: ZACH "The bottom line is that its a results game. Results count and at this moment in time with only 2 wins from 8 we are clearly not achieving what we hoped we would be. Now some feel we should be challenging for the top 2 others top 4 some happy with top 6. The reality at the moment is we will be lucky to make the 8.
Now if they train well and it looks impressive on the training pitch the only conclusion can be that its not getting through to the players. That's a problem either with player intelligence or coaching communication.
At times today it was apparent that players did not know what they were supposed to be doing. This created a situation where we had no fluency and lacked that all important cutting edge.
So who's fault is that? For me the buck stops with the man at the helm. AP has backed him. They have signed who they wanted all be it no SH. They are not performing. Some say the effort is there. well that's fair enough but it ain't a winning formula.
I read into PGs comments that he really didn't want us to play today. Happy with a draw in those conditions. That's more a defeatist attitude to me. Certainly not one that would invigorate a team in who's hands his employment relies on.
For me we have to win the next two anything less and the knives will be out. So no more talking lets shut up shop and get the job done. The performances on the pitch speak volumes, not press releases about training well.'"
I agree with some of the things here. PG is ultimately responsible for the performances. Blaming the players or conditions or the ref is not good enough. If the players are responsible we may as well not have a coach at all.
Its like you said a results business and if we aren't achieving this PG needs to drop players and kick their butts.
He said we have a better squad strength this season so he should use it. We all know he will be the fallguy if things dont improve.

| The point raised about about our teams intelligence once they cross the whiewash is an interesting one. It was only a week ago that Hudds showed us how to win tricky games in difficult conditions. 97% completion rate and 2 errors all game. What do we serve up today? Error followed by error followed by penalty after penalty resulting in low completion rate and lack of possesion. The players need to give their heads a bang and start playing smarter, starting on good friday!

Today we had a 15 min period in second half were our discipline was poor. Silly penalties resulting in tries for the. Opposition. Similar to last week when having not given penalties we conceded two or three quickly and lost momentum and a grip on the game.
Errors were always likely today given conditions, but its how you adapt and over come them. We failed to adapt miserably. All their tries were poor on our behalf. We also failed to make any noticeable breaks and the support play was non existent.
But hey we will all be there on Friday in the belief that one day soon everything will click and we might achieve what we as fans deserve.

Most of today's team are Gentle signings though.
Arundel
Crookes
Lynch
Galea
Johnson
Watts
Pitts
and Crooks and Lineham were given their debuts by Gentle. So thats 9 players out of the 17 who Gentle's brought in to the side, and we still aren't performing.

| relieved to get the draw in the end but far from happy with the peformance! the conditions made the game a leveller and tony rea must've thought all his christmas' had come at once with the weather today! credit to london they played wet weather rugby unlike us!
if holdsworth is going to be missing, we must have whiting at 6 as he is the only one with a rugby brain, heremaia is not the answer, he and briscoe,(who will never make a full back!) cost us the tries in the first half!

You joking? Andy Lynch hasn't impressed you and isn't up to Super League level? He was in our top 3 performers all last season, playing with a broken wrist ALL SEASON, and he isn't up to Super League standard.
I can't be bothered to reply to the rest of your post, because quite frankly with your comments on Lynch you're talking out your .

i think a lot of people have had a reality check after "bel13ve" and all the hype around the average squad of players we have and we need to make major changes to the squad yet again!!!! we will get nowhere near the top 6 in the next few years we are going backwards in terms of quality on the pitch but if we make changes we are going to have to except another 2 or 3 years of transition and a lot more losses £££ for Mr Pearson who will eventually get fed up

I would say (being cynical) that PGs pre match talk was something along the lines of don't worry chaps in these conditions I will be pleased with a draw. After 65 mins he realised that defeat would leave him in the brown stuff with AP.
