On a separate note well pleased for Lynchy you could see how chuffed he was in the semi.'"
All set up nicely for a timely boost.

| I reckon whatever the outcome of the scans we'll be told he won't be fit for Wembley, then he'll somehow turn up on the wing.

He should only play if he is close to 100%. We saw what happens when you play injured players with Keith Senior in 2005.

You can't have 90% fit players up against Charnley or Richards

| Im not saying play him if he's not fit, probably came across wrong. I meant if he is fit I doubt we'll hear about it until the teams are announced & on the pitch.

| If it wasn't his ankle and maybe it was his arm (Obviously it isn't) it might be okay to go in at 80/90% fit but because it's an ankle injury if he's against either Charnley or Richard and makes a break or what ever he'll most likely to pull up injured. Shame really because he's been outstanding in his debut season at Hull.
IMO I can't trust putting Crookes in at Wing against them 2 but if we put Whiting their out versatility is lost from the bench + he don't have the pace.

Whiting must start from the bench.
Horne has played on the wing for GB, has pace and is a great defender. Unfortunately I doubt he will be fit enough to play there either.
I think we will go with Crookes who is at least a specialist winger.
I hope we spend time next week practising defending kicks to the corners.

I reckon he could shuffle along on his backside quicker then Richards can run and that's the winger he'll be up against down our left hand side.
He needs to be reasonably fit simply to last the game because you can't afford to leave your team a man short but pace won't be an issue. It's going to be a really tough call for Peter Gentle IMO.

| I sincerely hope he's fit, but don't want us to do a Senior, if he's not 100%

We'd have to just go with Crookes but to me (Lack of game time) he won't be the reliable on a big stage we need our best players out there even if it means having Whiting there which I don't want really.. and yeah if Crookes is to play he's going to have to get practising very hard this week otherwise Richards will just laugh at him all day long..

Maybe he's not got the pace but he's very good in the air and against Crookes he'll just be laughing at how easy it is to get the ball.. and back on Lineham if he's to go ahead and play and play against Richards he'd need at least some sort of pace in-case someone made a break.
