| I don't recall Burnett digressing before so sacking him depending on the circumstances may be an over reaction considering the disciplinery records of some of the squad. Lee was leaving anyway according to many on here and Radford hasn't even been mentioned by the club. The status quo is resumed.  |

The thing is this happens in all walks of life and certainly in sporting matters. Just Look at the suspensions in RL over the year. We had the Cockayne incident where a 'dispensable' cas reserve got sacked, Cockayne still had a value but we had cover so was supspended, then the Pryce thing, where wire wanted rid of reardon so sacked him, pryce was a superstar so he was deemed to have been punished enough. just a couple of examples but there are loads more.
Lee was on his way out anyway and he has just helped himself out of the door, the lads obviously been foolish but I imagine if the alledged incident had happended in January between Mr Long and Mr Fitzgibbon then it would be put down to being over passionate about the club and nothing else said. |

Not at all and FWIW i don't think he will be a Rovers player. But i think the release of this story has everything to do with the possibility that he may be, as Hull will have no idea who he may or may not be signing for.
Players often fight at training it has happened before and will undoubtedly happen again. The training paddock and changing rooms are the players and coaching staffs domain and everything that goes on there should be kept in house. The reasons for selectively releasing this story are unknown, but can we now expect every incident, contrary to the clubs unofficial code of conduct, that happens at training to be made public?? I very much doubt it.

Indeed, and if they have been suspended for fighting, then it should be the same rule for other employees of the club. |
