Certainly wasn't expecting to still be in the game in the last five minutes so whilst it's a chance gone the performance was encouraging. Pleased for Davy Litten, who didn't look out of place.

McNamara has to come back in place of Lovodua if he’s fit and hopefully Trueman, Carlos and Sutcliffe will be in the 17 before long.

Trueman fit will be massive. Can't keep carrying a half back and expecting to pick up wins. One half of the pitch is just rendered useless really.

Bit harsh that to be fair with the ball bouncing away and dropping it was a tough one to get and certainly not on a plate. Had the ball been bouncing up when Dwyer tried to gather I reckon he would have done so but the bounce just went against rather than for.

Not the easiest start to the season fixtureswise, away at both Grand Finalists, and Catalans, in the first 5 rounds. Key now is to show some of that effort in the next few games.

Game smarts i think the drop out before halftime has to be managed alot better.

Criticised scott lately but played well tonight as did Griffin, sutcliffe , carlos and trueman to come in and we keep that attitude through the team we l be ok, will give us a platform to rebuild end of season

He had enough time and space to compose himself in my opinion. The effort we put in tonight produced that opportunity for us to win the game with that opportunity. He didn't have the skill set to take it.

I get it's easy to say and in the moment it's more difficult to execute, but for me and maybe it's just disappointment after a great effort from the team, but those chances have to be taken.

Saints also defended well tonight, I can't remember too many times if any we beat the first man. Hoy had a lot of easy catches tonight but never saw him beat the first defender.

Young Litten without being spectacular did enough to keep his place for next week. Looked a lot more confident a player than Mcintosh.

Gotta say that Brad Fash, possibly the smallest forward in the league is a giant of a player. He stood out for me again out of both packs of forwards. Another great shift from him tonight.
