If Turner does stay IMO long term he's about as good a candidate I can think of to develop into a Manu replacement. I still think his future is in the back row and he has the footwork and pace to match Manu. If he could add the brute strength and the offloading (which he's already good at) with it, he could be the line-breaking backrower we're fearing losing.

The stats are interesting but for me it's what I've seen Turner do on the pitch this season that is relevant. Players do progress at different rates in the early part of their careers. This season Turner has shown pace and ball handling skills more than useful for a centre to possess. He still needs to work defensively but all players have strengths and weaknesses. I was sceptical before this season but I can only go on what I see. I would be happy for Turner and Arundel to be at the club next season as well as Yeaman. Martin will go so Arundel would be a direct replacement.

However, just because he's staying now doesn't mean he will neccessarily stay long term. Who knows, it's a more positive rumour anyway!
