Well that escalated!

Regardless of whether or not you think the club is telling lies (personally I have no reason not to believe them and think you are talking bo**ocks) Lineham is a far better player, he offers miles more all round. Lancaster has done nothing wrong but he is a 17 year old kid just making his way. He's a prospect, but it would be ridiculous to leave out Lineham if he is fit and available.

As for him going to Rovers, again I think it's rubbish, but if he has it would be a shame. Good luck to him but I don't really see it being a good career move, even if he would get more game time in the short term.

Lineham had a strong game. Did well on first game back. Leg looked sound given the commitment and speed he showed.

He looked as quick as ever when chasing Escare, shame he had too much ground to make up.

Lancaster had a MRI scan, small tear in his groin - gone for 2 weeks, also Ben Crooks is playing with a persistent groin injury as well.

Yeaman has done okay in recent weeks, and now we have Sa, so if Crookes is struggling he should get it sorted now ready for the business end of the season.

Thought lineham had a strong game. Took some really difficult kicks well. If we'd kicked as well as they did on the last tackle we'd have won

I think kicking is the one area our halves really struggle. As a rule I don't tend to think the halves are as bad as a lot of people make out, but we certainly have a substandard kicking game.

Our kicking is the worst in the league, I'd bet we have scored the least amount of try's from kicks in the league, there was times tonight were we struggled to get out of half and our kicks were appalling, just having kicker would improve us loads.

Back on topic Smailes expects Lancaster to sign a new deal with Hull soon.

people make it out because it's a crucial part of the game and we're pathetic at it.

Our kickers are rarely deep enough for a start, and the forwards do nothing to 'block' onrushing defenders. Just simple standing in front of the kicker and running at the defensive line would just give that extra half a yard for the kicker to get a decent punt in.

Don't even get me started on the kick chases.

The last 10 minutes of the game Catalans fullback was in the defensive line.
I was screaming for them to do a chip over he would have to turn giving our chasers plenty of time to rush through pick the ball up and score

I've said for a long time our kicks deep are too floaty - gives the oppo chance to catch it on the full. We're kicking in to gaps a lot of the time but the ball being in the air so long is our undoing.

Just IMHO of course.
