You're judging Horne based on him playing a role he's not suited to. Because we've lacked a scrum half for so many years, he's had to play there by default as we've had little option. If he gets a run at 6 this year alongside a proper scrum half, that will be the time to assess whether or not he can still cut it at the top level.

As an aside, how would you feel if you were doing something at work that was outside of your area of expertise to help the team out, and people just kept saying how rubbish you were at it? Would that be fair on you, do you think?

Personally id like to Ellis do well but i reckon he wont finish the season with us and will end up somehwere else to get game time as Horne and Seymour will be starting halfs unless injury occurs.

Explain why it's stupid. That's exactly the situation with Horne. And I have no sentiment towards him. I'd feel the same if any player was being harshly judged by people who clearly have little knowledge of the game.

Do you even know what jaundiced means? And you have little knowledge because you can't see what's right in front of you. Horne is not an organiser. He's got no long range kicking game. That he's been forced into those roles for so long is not his fault.
