Think it was a decent move bringing Sharp in ( one of few) just in case it goes t!ts up for Agar.

Jon Sharp said many things that I've been thinking for the past couple of seasons. Bringing some aggression back into the team will help, if he can actually do that as well as he talks about it. Overall an encouraging performance from him.

He highlighted some problems that need changing what have been obvious to many for ages now. I think it's a good appointment by the club and i hope he keeps his word with the changes im mind.

Spot on. Sounds like we'll have more physical presence as well. He's picked up on the fact that there are few "talkers" in the squad too and sees Thorman filling this gap - take it there's no halfback in the pipeline for 2009 then.

I think Sharp will do a good job for the club. I'm prepared to give him a chance to do so at least.

Couldn't get the show over here, but sound like he made a decent fist of it.

I'm undecided about Sharp TBH. I liked him when he played for us, he has passion in abundance, and he did manage reasonably with Huddersfield given limited resources. OTOH Hudds played a frankly bloody awful brand of RL for much of his time there, and I'd hate to see us replicate that style.

Time will tell I guess.

He talked with real emotion about his signature being chased by Leeds and other clubs as a player but choosing us, and his return to the Boulevard for training this season. He did talk about being a very technical coach, so the challenge for the Agar/Sharp combo IMO is going to be a more "hearts and minds" thing as they are both very analytical and thorough in planning but don't come across as inspirational, despite the obvious emotional connection they feel to the club. If they can crack that, could be a very interesting season.

Not sure if you have the players to be agressive and dominate other teams forwards. Obviously Crocker can do this but not sure the rest can follow.
