I would like to see him back up his bluster.
When it comes to this season, I genuinely believe we have too many questions to answer and could have a shocker. I am largely in agreement with Jake. That said, I am also excited as we have signed some young players and some players who could be anything. I also believe that Rovers ridiculous over confidence is, well ridiculous.
I personally would not be taking the bet you have from an FC perspective, but I would not be as dismissive as Mr Chester as I think Rovers have a hooker at 9 and questions over Weyman and getting him on the pitch.
I hope he takes your bet, and I hope you win.
Re kits, I am ambivalent.

I must have missed something here. Weyman has averaged 19 games a season over the last five years and where questioning his ability to get on the pitch?
2009 played 22
2010 played 19
2011 played 23
2012 played 10
2013 played 19
With Weyman playing in 19 games last season surely that's the season we look at as a comparison. if we are going back years like has been mentioned on this thread then lets look at Mickey Paea who had quite a bad run of injuries prior to coming to Rovers he then went on to play over 50 consecutive games. The idea of using injuries based on past seasons as a yardstick is very flawed
Weyman V's Paea
2005 4 -4
2006 13 - 5
2007 15 -5
2008 7 - 8
2009 22 - 6
201019-16
2011 23-12
2012 10-27
2013 19-23
So Weyman according to that has played 26 more games then Mickey Paea whilst Paea enjoyed a chance to play in alot more games in 2012 & 13 due to SL playing more matches then our NRL counterpart in a less intense competition.

You're always wrong.'"
Paea never managed it once whilst playing in the NRL and Weyman actually managed to do it twice. Paea moved to a less intense competition and played over 50 on the bounce for Rovers so it means nothing.

Pretty fair summation, its definitely a season of who knows... best prediction that can be made is that it will be unpredictable, to many unknowns that could either be brilliant or pants from both sides of the City.
TBF I've not heard many Rovers fans saying they're confident of anythng. The odd one or two who will look for any positives but ultimately it all depends on how well, Keating and Burns gel. Hull similarly will be key how well whichever combination at 6 & 7 Radford decides on. As for playing a Hooker at 9, call me a traditionalist but thats how I like a team to set up
As for kits, Hull haven't got irregular hoops and Rovers haven't got a red band so I hate the home kits.

It's your year, and you're talking silverware. According to your Chief Exec, anyway. Plus you have a 5 week head start on all teams not having warm weather training according to Sandercock. Yikes.

His. He's said twice now, categorically, that 2014 is Rovers year. The confirmation of silverware target is in his latest interview. Along with the gem that firm evidence of Rovers broader national appeal is managing to secure sponsorship by Clearsky. In other news, Clearsky's CEO is revealed as Rob Crossland, Vice Chairman of, er, Hull KR. What are the chances.

well if our chairman's said it it must be true, the rest of SL might as well not bother turning up AND our away shirts better than yours

Are you as stupid as Chester? Why do I care about Paea? Chester said he averages 20 games a year, he doesn't.
