Quote: Hutchie "Please do explain 'Mr I could bring more to the table than most'.'"

Think he was hinting at Roberts and Groake who ended up using that and the fanzine as their own personal crusade.

Quote: Robbo4 "Can we have a thread for people interested in starting up HISA (or a similar organisation under a different name) please? Leave your mark if you want to be involved in some way and only if you are serious about commiting some time and effort.

Only serious responses welcome.'"
put me down i think its about time we did something lets get this HISA back in business and let the jokers of the club hear what we have got to say i would give every min i have as i strongly believe we need to act now or it will be to late

Quote: Sebasteeno "Whilst agreeing with reasons this is coming about i dont understand why this group is even being formed tbh. Seems to me its been done so the fans can have more contact with the club and it can become more accountable to the fans but in order to do has to get into bed with the club which completely defeats the object IMO. How long will all this take because for it to gather up any momentum or power its gonna be atleast next season which means its gonna do nothing for our present predicament.

IMO more direct action is needed. Boycotting, banners, turning away from the game, anything, but it has to be more instant.'"

Maybe other people have a different idea to me with regards to what this group/club/association should be about. IMO its not about attacking the club when they do something we dont like. It should exist whether we are having good times or bad times. It should be a way for the fans to have a positive influence with the club, whether it be raising money to sponser a player or to help sign a youngster on a full time contract or organise events for the fans to get together etc and (hopefully) with a large enough membership we can voice our opinions to the club and they will listen to what the members want. If we just try to use it as a stick to beat the club with we will get nowhere and even if we did achieve some sort of change it would then quickly go out of existance.

Thanks to Dean and Chewie by the way. The only thing I would say about the proposal is that whilst it is is important to build partnerships I would say the two organisations would have very different goals and the ISA created should really be focusing on things related to Hull FC. Thats not to say the two shouldn't support each other but I'd say thats something for the future rather than part of the building process. Again just my opinion mind.

Just found the press statement the club issued at the first FC Voices meeting, Im not sure if the policy will have been changed or if they will in the future

Quote: "The Club intend improving and developing communication with its supporters through FC Voices the newly formed fans group. Regular meetings should enable the supporters to be better informed and for initiatives and ideas to be discussed for the benefit of the Club and it’s fans. There will also be opportunities to organise events such as the Radio Forum in July with the Club.

For the avoidance of doubt the Club do not expect to deal directly with organisations such as HISA who are represented in FC Voices and who now have the ability to pose questions through that group.

Its a very interesting proposal and one that if used correctly could become vey big. It obviously cant start out straight away with trying to tackle the Sack the board/Agar out issues as it would fail straight away.
I would be happy to input into the group with a few ideas and contacts that may help especially when a new group is started if the constituiton is written correctly there are £0,000s available to groups. And CVS are usually willing to help write these and give you details on the funds you can apply for. Is anyone puttingsigns up in the other bars(parkers/brickies/3 Tuns) and places where FC fans frequent to allow for a good cross section of people. It may also be an idea to tr and get some High Profile Patrons such as Kemble/Swain etc
