| Quote: cofr_rockin_robin "I buy the shirts though and spend money in the shop for me and my daughter so we are going to get a certain percentage of that 60 quid back. My season pass is frozen at that price and I pay my money to get into the KC stadium at over inflated prices for the west stand upper. I joined early so I now don't get ripped off having to pay 23 quid to get into the KC as I'm guaranteed tickets to get into the North stand. It's entirely upto you if you wanted to join if someone say joined the scheme and sat in your seat for next season would you be miffed about it ?'"
As opposed to £17 for your South Stand? At least you're guaranteed the 2 points as well

Although a worthy cause, Think you'll find Rovers fans only club charged more at your place.

I don't think they did and it certainly wasn't the £7 difference I paid from being with a Cas fan to the derby game in the very same stand!!

To settle the conversation the cost of attending Rugby League games is getting ridiculous especially when you can get into the DW stadium for 16 pounds , well done Wigan. Why should the cost of a RL game be nearly the equivalent of watching a Premier League football team.
I wouldn't pay 17 pounds to get into the south stand at Rovers but would to sit down in the North Stand.

There is no reason, in principle, it should be - on the other hand, why not? Lowering prices might be balanced by more fans through the gates (I doubt it fwiw), but if not cuts will have to made somewhere. If SL is to retain full-time players and be more than a feeder to RU, revenue has to be maintained. Sky would pay less then too, so it could be a downward spiral.

RFL has fallen short in my opinion when they negotiated the contract with SKY they should of asked for more monies so that we could then go to a 16 team league. Why not because people are being priced out of the game it is becoming very expensive to watch RL especially when a family has a parent and two kids. The 40 quid scheme for juniors is very good but in my opinion Kids under ten should go free and tickets should be given away for youngster's to attend at the schools.

This season has shown that there aren't enough quality players for 14 teams, much less 16.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Rovers are £2.4m in debt. This is not imaginary. Download the accounts from Companies House and see for yourself. Better yet, order an independent credit report.
Honestly and truthfully, are you really that naive to imagine that our rise to again become the major RL force in Hull has come without pushing the boat out a bit?
Tell you what, you worry about your club's finances and we'll worry about ours. Deal?

you've obviously missed the last 5+ years when FC's debt level was the sole thing that occupied some rovers fans minds.

Yeh, I think it tends to be a thing that the fans of the inferior club at any given time tends to focus on. A bit of a 'if we can't beat you on anything else, we'll concentrate on your club's finances'.

Nowt wrong with pushing the boat out a bit provided you can still pay creditors within terms.
Anyway tomorrow is filing deadline day for Rovers. And late filing of accounts is a criminal offence according to the Companies House website.

| Quote: russelbarwich " I think it stinks. Paying money so you can recieve discounts which can only be redeemed by spending more money. If you read the 'benefits' in the Rovers scheme you would realise it's just a money making excersise. If Hull Fc ever took up such a scheme and I lost my seat at the KC beacuse of it I would never attend a Hull FC match again, FACT!'"
Quote: russelbarwich "Why would any business want to do that?'"
Quote: russelbarwich "The package offered by Rovers, for example, is really just a way of trying to mask a +23% increase in season ticket prices with a couple of shirt discounts (which we get anyway as season passholders) plus a derby ticket promotion. If we offered something similar, I don't think I'd find it compelling.'"
Quote: russelbarwich "Doh!!!!!
therobins - in one post you're saying it's simply a money making scheme as that's what business's are about and then when it's suggested that this is what Rovers are doing and that it wouldn't work for us you retort to banging your head on the wall!
So don't you agree that your clubs "scheme" is nothing but a way of fleecing those supporters who follow the club with blind faith???
