Quote: PAUL M "Take a bow son, had to be close for mom. Looked strong and sharp all the way through and had he had some more support could have created more tries for us. Cracking try!'"

great game for Horne, may have lost a bit of pace, but he still has his skill, was close for MOM eusa_clap.gif

Horney took plenty of criticism on here during the week so its only fair to praise him for his improved show last night.

Hopefully his confidence will have taken a boost.

Horne did look better last night but to say that he's "answered his critics" etc. is a little premature. He certainly did more last night than we've seen for a while but let's face it, he was playing with a totally dominant pack, against a very poor Quins team.
The interception that he took last night was a real display of the pace that has left him which, let's face it, was one of his main attributes. He certainly merits his place for next week but his place in the 13 looks like it "should" be under serious threat in the weeks to come.

Seemed to have changed his tackle technique and was going lower. Worked well for him - his best defensive display since returning from injury IMO.

Think that's what pleased me the most in his performance last night. He was the senior half back and for once he acted like it. More of the same please, Rich.

I was pleased to see a glimse of the old Rich Horne last night. He's a quality player on his day, it's just lately he's not had many of 'his' days.

And if the guy from the top end of the South stand (27) shouting, " You're sh17 Horney and East Hull scummer " posts on here, I'd like to say, YOU'RE A TOOWAT!!

Well impressed with the 'Vintage Horney' that we saw last night. So much different to the Horne of last week, with his Try epitomising his game. Kicks were overall good, put work in the tackles. Would like to see him running his lines to collect the offloads a bit more, but was very pleased to see the Horney of old, was in contention for the MOM imo! Keep it up!

Well I have to say as one of those who has voiced much concern over RH thus far I have to say that he did what I had said i would hope he would and that was prove me wrong last night!
He went from a man looking very short of confidence to a player who in fairness didnt do a thing wrong and could have been MOM, great try, could have set up two more with support but back to what I remember to be fair and to be honest I left the KC last night with a big smile on my face not so much due to the win and the manner of the win but because of three combined things...
Richard Horne proved me wrong last night and I am sorry I doubted you RH.
2, Richard Whiting showed all of his knockers last night just how good the kid really is wether he is Carl Lewis or not!!!
3, AND MOST OF ALL for gods sake will you all lay off Richard Agar now as he clearly has the sense to know what is correct and what isnt !!

Great result, great performance

I have to qestions some fans.

They say lets not go overboard on Horne for one good performance (which I agree with) but surely the same happens with one bad performance? Yet what happens is one bad performances and they are happy to slaughter him.

4 games in and he has one bad game which was last week other than that he has been good.

I would say its 4 games in
1 x bad one
2 x very average ones
1 x outstanding one

lets hope he keeps it up , was interesting to see Longy jump up applauding RH on a number of ocassions last night, a real affinity there I think between them
