Me and a mate of mine did this a couple of years ago , never again , infact I got to Aus quicker a year later by 2 hours .

I did this route with Beverly travel, Lloret de Mar my god it was difficult, a little Spanish lady welcomed the coach, she was famous for being orrible.

Beverley Travel for me 78, 79 80 and 81Tossa, Loret de Mar, Playa De Aro and Palamos and Fenels 24 hours none stop, drivers sleeping in a compartment under the bus surrounded by dozens of packs of British bacon for the local British bars us lot upstairs surrounded by pillows and sleeping bags what a nightmare but some great times first time to Palamos £76 bus ferry and apartment for 14 nights!!! Once stood in a phone box for two hours feeding it with perceta's listening to David Doyle Davidson Hull v Oldham "unbelievable!!! its coming down like stair rods here at the Boulevard" Get memories.

A beautiful little seaside village.
Always fancied going back but I doubt it's what it was.
Cheap as chips but an expensive little place nowadays.

Palamos was my first holiday abroad in 83 , The was a pub at the back of the hotel that had pictures of Hull on the wall . I think the Spanish owner had married a Hull girl in the 70's .

It must have been the sophistication he fell for.

Went to San Antonio twice with halcyon…one a 10 day and another 17 day…never again,journey a total ball ache…82&83 I think……the missus once said I bet that’s good to go on coach…I nearly divorced her

To be fair we always did the bus with our 2 young daughters, you had to have the mindset that it was all part of the holiday. Let’s face it, where else could you get a 2 week sunny holiday in Spain for that price?
