| I'll leave the turning in the tackle business, it's been done to death. However
No he doesn't. That's one of his major problems. He used to. He used to even when he was playing for much longer. Now, he doesn't often. If at all. He frequently ends up on the wrong side through both not being in a good position prior to impact and not making good enough contact. That means he's often struggling to get properly set at marker. And, before you come back and say that that can't be the case as he's our top tackler from marker, why do you think he is put in a position to make so many marker tackles? It's obviously not because he's like Calderwood and can chase down the ball even if it passes through two or three pairs of hands. So what is it? I'd suggest that it's as a direct result of him not winning the collision very often and being caught on the wrong side. That means teams are more likely to scoot after Radford's been involved in the tackle, with the chance to gain easy ground and Radford, therefore, has more chance to make marker tackles.

| Most people are placing Whiting at loose man, why the hell doesnt Agar do this? the team he is fielding at the mo clearly arent winning games, switch players into different positions in training, see what they can do in them positions, something needs to be done to get the results, try something different Mr. Agar.

| Quote: Big Dave T "Couldnt disagree more. Radders is our only forward who does have an offload. The leeds game the other week shows this. His issue is that named at 13 people expect him to be a ball handling loose forward. He plays as a prop and for me makes better yards than most of our pack as well as defensively been one of the only players we have that consistently wins the collision. If we had support his turning in the tackle may lead to more 2nd phase rugby too but no one is bothered.'"
Most of his offloads in that game came as a result of him being driven back towards his own line and out of desperation.
As for winning the collision, really Dave? He just turns around and tries to fall over, he seems to get dominated nearly all the time. He does try and gain quick ptb's I will grant him that but he makes seldom few yards.

That would be just about right.
Outstanding in the centre at Widnes, so it makes perfect sense to bring him back and play him full-back.

Especially when someone who's been playing fullback in the NRL this season has arrived in the same week.
Seriously, if Hall starts at fullback with Tansey either in the centres or on the bench, any lingering doubts that Agar doesn't know what he's doing with team selections must be banished.

Sounds like he was talking about what had alread happened rather than what will be happening tomorrow. Maybe Tansey will play off the bench with him only just arriving and not having played for a few weeks?
At least Agar spoke positively about Hall which is good to hear, not that Agar will be praised for that because according to rumours he hates him and odes not want him around!

If Hall starts at FB the last remaining shred of any sort of belief in Agar will disintegrate.

Wouldn't suprise me in the slightest.
The guy comes back with a bit of confidence, so let's stick him in the position he's least comfortable in and burst his bubble.
This club is a joke.

Maybe, I just read it as present tense, not past. He [igives[/i us a big threat...from fullback, rather than gave. Let's hope it's a slip then, and he just meant before.
I agree, it's very positive that he talked Hall up, particularly his praise of how he's handled being left out. The fact that he's even chosen to talk about it in itself is a positive IMO.
I only hope he's not at fullback because it could instantly undo any and all progress that has been made if it goes badly.

I was always worried when he played at FB. I was very supportive of him and thought he was very brave to put his hand up for the position but when he had the ball near his own line he didn't know how to get to ground quickly so that he wasn't carried over the try line. He also appeared to be too nonchalant when chasing the ball back to his own line from a kick. I also thought he was too careless when scooting from acting-half (e.g. picking the ball up in one hand). Because a full back is often in the acting half spot when bringing the ball out of defense after a kick that meant if he dropped the ball (which he did) we were often defending our line - something we have not been very good at this season. So FB exposed his inexperience - I'd be surprised if he's had any coaching in those areas since so I hope he is played at centre.

Ive watched the game a couple of times and saw some decent offloads there. Didnt see him go backwards any more than any of our others players.
He may turn into the tackle but often keeps his legs pumping to make extra yards. Guess ive always seen a different Radders to some/most on here. For me he isnt great, but he is no where near as bad as some make out on here and he is head and shoulders above the likes of King, Thacks and Tickle.
