How stupid of me.
In my defence though, he's not in the same league as Thurston, Cronk, Orford etc. He's better.

So lets look at what you keep stating.
1, The board would want "their money back"
2, They close the club.
HOW?
The club has £150,000 worth of assets
How do the shareholders "get their money" back?
Would it not be more sensible to keep the club going, cream off the profits, pay themself a nice wage and "consultancy fees"
Because keeping the club "open" would cost them what exactly?
So will we REALLY have no Hull FC? would they really "CLOSE THE CLUB"???
Just give it up with your pathetic statement please

Maybe he would have recognised it if it was a hymn sheet?

i feel sorry for the toon army who have watched there team through thick and thin just like us....but it makes me wonder if anyone feels sorry for the faithful...i doubt it....as our board have brought this on thererselves...
the leeds southstanders were taking the p**s last nite as we all heard towards the end which said it all, it is embarrassing at times and deeply hurtful that our club seems destined for oblivion....'"
I think you will regret your decision to not renew your pass next year. If you do that and they have a fairly successful season what would you decide to do eat humble pie and go back and watch them? Your mates might end up taking the mickey out of you. Best to continue the support 'in any kind of weather' and stage a sit in protest , like Warrington did v Cas.Fitzgibbon is a class act , very hard rugby league player a couple of more International players are needed to strengthen the squad along with a clear out of the dead wood.

Bdum tish.
In all honesty I don't think we are that far away from being a top side and I think Agar can lead us forward (Sharp is a different stort but I won't go into that). Class scrum half, rough ar5e prop and we have a competetive side imo if everyone is fit.

More money can be realised out of a company than it's fixed assets. Depending on how you go about closing it down and calling in debt, it would be possible to walk away with some of the turnover as well.
I did actually say it was an unlikely scenario. But the poster I was responding to was talking about [iforcing[/i the board out. Under those circumstances common sense could well go out the window. Especially since one method of forcing them out involves turning the club into a loss-making enterprise...

What debts could we call in?
And how could the board "realise more" by closing the co in a different way? Which way would you suggest? MVL? CVL? will these different routes "produce" assets?
Go on tell us all
(this is an area of company law i do know a bit about so do think before you start typing thinking you know more than me)

I don't think I know more than you - I'm offering an alternative opinion.
If you think we're 100% safe from ever being closed down then fine - nothing I say is going to convince you otherwise. I'm inclined to be more pessimistic having been through a similar scenario with Lloyd. I don't think it's likely as the board stand to make more by keeping the club running, but if they were somehow forced out at a time not of their choosing the risk is there IMO.

| the clock is ticking and time is running out for them to sort out this mess
I think next weeks game will be one of the lowest home attendances for about 3 years (obviously Saints will bump the number up)
you'd have to be crazy to want to spend £20-23 to go watch it!

It should be the lowest attendance for a few seasons if everyone considers value for money before deciding whether to go. £20-£23 to watch that $hite or spend it elsewhere ?? I know what I'll be doing and I really hope that many others do the same.
Not exactly a "boycott" or anything silly like that but just a natural decline in attendances and income due to the fact that a lot of fans are thoroughly pi$$ed off and will not take it anymore
