Grix seems as frustrated as everyone else. He's made it clear that he isn't saying anything he hasn't already said to the players. The squad is on the bones of its , yet he has got them playing with much more effort and desire. I like his brutal honesty so much more than coaches that beat around the bush and offer nothing but regurgitated drivel week after week. At least he sounds like he knows what he's talking about and what he wants from the players. They just need to be better at delivering it regardless of the depth or strength of the squad. We've seen the potential for some wins in the last few weeks so every opportunity needs to be taken.

I have more time for grix than I did 5 or 6 weeks ago. He's upped the level of performance significantly and with such a scratch side we were above expectation to still be in it with 10 minutes to go. Fitness levels have also clearly improved as we spent the first 20 minutes defending and didn't drop off towards the end.

Defence needs sorting though and 60+ missed tackles isn't good enough although, first 20 minutes apart, our goal line and scrambling defence was good. Under smith that would have been a 50 point hammering.

We also need to remember we had a very young side with lots of academy graduates in there who will be all the better for the experience.

I don't believe in moral victories but think we can take some positives from a close game.

Fash is an idiot though and will likely now sit out most of our remaining games. Disappointing from our vice captain

One team warmed up with intensity and started the game strongly, the other looked like they were going through the motions and found themselves 18 points down in as many minutes.

When you consider Rovers are a top team , we would have seen a real hammering earlier and Grix has at least stopped those dire , morale sapping performances that really epitomised the last few seasons . to be still in the game, arguably the better team in patches, gives me great hope that a fitter squad, with new players and a good coach will see us improve further. When you take the above into account, we are a much better watch of late and I actually enjoyed the game, never really thinking we'd win but the fans around me were at least behind the lads and there is a renewed sense of pride in the shirt, which is the least we ask of the team. Fash is brainless and will now sit out a long ban, all of the shirt tugging is just fake bravado, nobody can throw punches so why he got involved and did what he did is even more pointless. He deserves whatever comes his way and has let the team down when we are short on numbers.

Agree with you that our warmups lack upmf and we seem to have done the same drills for years now

I thought Fashy brought the intensity we needed and it woke us up and fired us up, absolutely nothing wrong with it IMO. Minchella jumping about like child and Lewis getting his little niggles in too. Well done Brad.

Nothing wrong with it except it's against the rules and will likely see him sit out 5+ matches. He's acted like a dick and allowed whingechella to get to him. Other than that perfectly acceptable

80 minutes on Saturday from Aydin, over 100 meters from 17 carries and nearly 40 tackles. He's proving to be a very good acquisition for us, I was quite underwhelmed with his signing but he's been fantastic since coming in.

There maybe could have been if our neighbours could be trusted with the top of the west stand but they've shown that's not the case.

Agree he's been a shrewd acquisition. One of very few over the last number of years.

Lots of empty seats in West and South stands, even where we sit in the East stand there were a few empty seats. I guessed 14,000.

Despite the defeat there was one thing that amused me on Saturday. When the game was won towards the end of the game the front of the east stand were given Hiku some stick. He responded by proudly pointing to and holding what he thought was the Rovers badge as a show of pride. Would have been a stirring gesture but he doesn't know he's left from right. He was pointing to kit manufacturers logo.

No Ban. From the disciplinary notesIn addition, and not appearing in the minutes because no charge has been issued, the MRP studied footage of an incident involving Brad Fash of Hull FC and Elliot Minchella of Hull KR in Saturday’s fixture. This incident had not been reported to the match officials. Without any substantiating evidence, the MRP determined that the available footage was insufficient to charge for any reckless/intentional contact.

Probably because he has such a small dick

It just so happens that he's very proud to wear kit made by Oxen haha
