4 tries to 3 and we played till the end, disappointed but happy with the effort and nearly nicked it at the end, in fairness imo cas where the better team until the last 20, but hey if we get that close and not really fire till near the end cant be bad, saying that cas did tackle well, hopefully no injuries

I think we have a couple of fans.

But whilst we are on our way home from the game, they are sat on the sofa critising us icon_biggrin.gif

Not the greatest first half by Hull, not smart enough, too many errors, gifted Cas the first two try's & possibly even the 3rd with poor/sloppy play and some dubious decisions by Kendall.
All in all great character shown by the team and could and should have won poor decision not to allow the try as did not go towards the opponents line it kept going backwards and should have stood.

Very sad. Try Whisky, it numbs the brain more quickly, espescially if you have one. FC were the better team on the night. These refs are rubbish. If he'd signalled Try on field it would have been given upstairs.

You might as well have saved your money or just left at halftime because you wrote the team off again when there is no need to. Do you just go as some sort or perverse ritual so you can then come out with the nonsense you do pretty much every game?

I take it the second half went pretty much as you expected too Mrs B? The day I look to you for Rugby insight is the day I stop watching the sport.

I think we lacked composure tonight and neither team played to their potential. I'm not disappointed with the effort but it's a shame we gifted them their first try. Apart from that it was a good game and we nearly sneaked it. Some of our first teamers getting unnecessary stick as per usual on this forum and it's more like a crèche on here sometimes. If the team doesn't play as well as we can do, then it seems unfair to pin the blame on individual players. I understand people blaming the red because they are upset with the result but they really need to look closer to home because it was not his fault we lost tonight

Quote: knockersbumpMKII "if the ball is not propelled forward toward the opposing teams line it's not a knock on, it can't be much simpler than that. There was clear evidence it didn't go forwards ergo it was a try.
Bentham bottled it and the ref was just guessing and given what had happened not a few minutes earlier with a Cas player his decision making is jumbled and inconsistant, same old really throughout the sport.'"

You are wrong. The ball doesn't have to be propelled forward. It can go slightly forward and sideways.... As it was sent up as no try there is no clear evidence it went back. You can't complain with that.

Sorry but for someone who rarely criticises officials, in this case, if he'd signalled "Try" on the field, it would have been allowed upstairs.

If true then I agree. Penalty should have been given but I was too busy watching the ball to notice.

Anyway as said earlier. 3 major close games so far but you definitely have the edge on us at present. I do worry about meeting you in the play offs. More so than anyone else.

I went to the game to cheer the team on in hope of a close game but realistic enough to appreciate the magnitude of the task. Was very exciting at fhe end so delighted to have been there in person to lend some actual vocal support although clearly the damage was done by half time. Plenty of positive to take although need to try and hold 4th.

Ball went backwards, video ref can overturn it and it should have, can't blame it for the loss as, even if given anything could have happen in the last 10.

Need to get rid of the ref call, worst rule at the moment
