| Great way to have a clear out and get rid of dead wood on big contracts, as long as rovers fans still turn out, think it might end up been a good thing for them short term. I'd have a look at taking greenwood

| I said 4 weeks ago that Rovers where facing a real danger of going down and that they would end up in the MPG. Then said I could see Salford knicking and many thought I was talking utter boll0x.
For me whilst I have some sympathy for all involved I will not be sorry to see them gone from SL.
Hopefully if/when they come back up messrs Hudgell & Co will have learnt some humility and class. Since they got into SL they set the tone for trying at every opportunity to have a dig and oneupmanship over Hull FC. The signing of Paul Cooke a perfect example of the motive of the Rovers chairman to stick the knife in whenever he could.
Hopefully now AP will terminate the joint academy and bring it solely back under Hull FC

Exactly. Hudgell has single handedly got them relegated.

Correct Wilf. Standard clause in all SL player contracts makes them lapse if the club are relegated. This is to protect both players and the club, which could otherwise go bankrupt trying to honour SL contracts on Championship income.

salary cap is the same now for all 3 leagues
its the rfls way of allowing toulouse and toronto a quick route to superleague, once in i expect the cap to be lowered in league 1 then the championship a year later

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| Salary cap cannot exceed 50% of "Club Relevant Income", so it's not quite as simple as it might seem.

rovers are fine, they have about 6000 fans who are "rervers til they die" and who were all there when they only had 1000 fans a few years back

| Peacock says he is staying and Rovers fans all over Twitter claiming he is some kind of legend for doing so, don't they realise he will be on a big salary and bet he won't take a paycut, plus he is the main person responsible for the mess Rovers are in.
I'd bet he will be back at Leeds before within the next 2 years.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "Well after 36 years of that boring one line song being put in our faces, being spat at as I left Caravan Park, and all the taunting and threats I have personally got for writing and honest blog about the team I love and the one I don't every week, I certainly feel for the players but as for the fans, Mr Hudgell and Co, I repeat my comment earlier. What comes round comes round and " Oh how I laughed!"'"
Never took you for such a bitter and twisted individual Wilf so you hate every Single Rovers fan what a very sad man you must be
