I think ours backs will be
Shaul
Lancaster
Talanoa
Carlos (can't yet spell his second name)
Fonua
Naughton
Logan
Not quite as good as the backline I expected, but has some potential there and certainly looks better on paper than this years.
I still see no need for Michael, particularly when we have Yeaman who could cover centre and move Talanoa to the wing.

I'd be disappointed with Talanoa at centre, think his strengths are better suited to the wing.
Shaul
Lancaster
Fonua
Logan
Talanoa
Naughton
Tuimavave
That's based on what we've supposedly signed.
Quite a difference from the back 5 i'd hoped for -
Shaul
Lancaster
Inu
Logan
Vidot
Naughton
Talanoa
I too don't see the need to retain Micheals, but Yeaman does see himself playing in the pack, so maybe worth a new deal?

I don't like Talanoa on the wing, too slow and terrible under the high ball, he isn't a top class centre but makes breaks and with Lancaster backing him up, think he could get a hatful, he would have scored against Wigan. I think he is slightly ahead of Logan who needs more strength, particularly in defence.

Defence, especially at centre, is always going to be the one question mark of any young centre. Think with a good off season there's no reason why he can't do a 'Ben Crooks'. As long as he puts the effort in I think it's worth persevering with.

I still think he will play plenty of games, any injury to wingers, centres or halfs I'd expect him to be in.
Wasn't convinced about him, but has impressed me again this year.
I really like the look of Bower from the 19s, has all the attributes to be a top centre.

Yeamo is signed on for 2016 on a lesser contract.

Which could be 0 on the cap if they use the extra 50k because of his long service.

Which make him amazing value compared to Washbrook, as an example

Yeah I know, I meant Micheals might be worth another year with Yeamo wanting to move in to the pack.

I'd still be surprised if we get value for money.

It's only one discount per club, IIRC, and Whiting also qualifies.

I knew that, but not sure how Hull use it, even if they use 25k on each player it's still good value.

I like micheals he's steady, not my first choice but he does a job when needed.
I suppose a squad could be two ways, either have a small squad of stars & hope to god they stay fit & avoid injury, which lets face it would be almost impossible in a contact sport, or have a huge squad with a decent spine & a few top players & lots of cover in all positions. It's very difficult under the salary cap & the players available on both sides of the world.
